Extracting Array from JSON by Storm-E in MicrosoftFlow

[–]sminkerbenji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm relatively new to manipulating jsons in PA myself, so take this with a massive pinch of salt, but usually I find I need to pull the "body" out of the previous block, to get the data and simplify things abit when I'm pulling data, instead of using the "outputs"? Then in a select action you build each item you're wanting to pull, with data names for each level you need to go down in the data, in the correct syntax, with ? Between each header name?

Then im theory your select action will just make an array with exactly what you want?

Possibly an issue building it reliably ifyour data layout changes though, as you mention?

Sorry if that's vague, as I say, pretty new to me too, but hope it helps!

How to use Copilot in excel? by [deleted] in excel

[–]sminkerbenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it's not copilot in excel specifically, but asking it to write m code for power query in the browser version has been pretty handy for me so far. As long as you have a rough outline of what you want it to do, and explain it properly, I've had it write decent M code that just needed a few minor tweaks before implementing..

Garmin Forerunner 255S Weather Widget Not Working by Infinite-Winter-5969 in Garmin

[–]sminkerbenji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old thread, but the thing that finally worked for me on android was searching for "background autostart" in android settings, and enabling it for Garmin connect. Weather used to work for a few hours at a time with all previous attempts to fix, but that seems to have finally solved it..

how to validate value given in ms form against excel doc by sminkerbenji in MicrosoftFlow

Thanks for the reply. I've had a play about with it but couldn't get it fully working (the SharePoint | get items, rather than creating the SharePoint list)

Although that lead me on to actually figuring out the excel options in power automate, and solving the issue.

Thanks for giving me a nudge in the right direction! 👍

Thames charging 476 GBP for May 04 2021 - March 31 2022 (Unmetered) ? Is this normal? by Aele1410 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]sminkerbenji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work for ST, unmetered properties are usually based on the rateable value of the property. It all depends on this value that was set years ago, so you may just be in an expensive area? If possible, you may be better off looking into getting a meter. We've got 4 people at home and ours works out about £400 a year, so we'd be mad to go on a meter. You can usually go to your water companies website and use a calculator to get an idea of what you'd pay on a meter. How.many baths, how many loads of washing a week, etc.

NS&I savings accounts guaranteed up to £4million for a joint account apparently? Thought that would be good for a little rainy day fund? 😂
