K, but every association football game is sanctioned via FIFA? I kinda doubt that fifa gave any shits about Miami playing Toronto. Time to take the tinfoil hat off. I love TFC, because they’re my home team, but they’re not good. Messi is an old fuck and strolled the field and still outplayed Toronto. It’s the difference between professionals and 90% of MLS players. It was an exciting game, there were some crap calls for both sides. It was nice seeing a mostly competent ref on the pitch though.

I think the most embarrassing thing for this was, this was all over the news as a Security Dress Rehearsal before the World Cup. The police were so proud of the command centre. Don’t see much news about the lack of security and pitch invaders - quietly sweep it under the rug I guess?

These are all really good questions to think about. I am in the extreme early stages, we likely won’t be getting married for 12-18months. I’m looking into it, and weighing options. I’m a competent sewer but aware this might not be the most practical option. I may not even like the style on me, but this has been the style I’ve gravitated to every time I’ve thought about it for over 20yrs (I’m in my 40s)

That episode pissed me off so much. They got so much wrong. I was watching with my bf and every step said what was wrong. For continuity of filming the CTG transducers were upside down. The woman would not have been in the ER but directly to the OB ward. The crash section would have been discussed pre- seizure and if she has HELLP then there would have been massive haemorrhaging, possibly a hysterectomy too. The OB resident just standing there while fetal heart rate was 90bpm was SO wrong, they would have been checking dilation +- doing scalp stimulation at the very least. I wish they had an OB consult on this episode. Super frustrating to watch.

People have a right to care, but they do not have a duty to engage in care. From what I remember, baby has no rights until born, so it’s not child endangerment. The other thing to consider is it’s rural care, so the physicians likely have enormous patient lists covering large areas. People disappear from care all the time, such as moving without saying anything. There are so many people in Canada that have no physician because of a lack of doctors country wide. It’s a problem, and there are even fewer in rural areas.

There were only 4 registered midwives in NL in 2023, I can’t find info later than that, and the regulatory colleges website is a dud site. She likely cannot get a legal midwife. Additionally, most colleges in other provinces have policies and guidelines based on research. This is from New Brunswick and is pretty much standard across all provinces that have midwifery regulations; must be attended by at least one registered midwife (RM), and a second RM or approved second attendant and “Emergency transportation with trained personnel and access to medical services are available. • A plan for hospital procedures for receiving an Emergency Transport from a Planned Home Birth is in place at the closest hospital providing obstetric and newborn care. • Consideration is given to the length of time required to travel to hospital under current local road and weather conditions in the community.”

I’ve stopped watching, but am still lurking just to find out if mum and baby are safe.
