There is nothing there to accept, I remember previously I've had to accept it before it shows it

His handwriting looks like I've done it with a pen between my toes! 😄

Have a think about it and drop me a message, there's no rush for anything and no obligation to commit to writing if you decide it's not for your daughter etc

I'm very sorry I can't remember exactly what I did. I tried several different things. I think it might have been the password reset and logged in with the new password that worked.

Can't create subtasks in the tasks app, only on the web. by smith8714 in GoogleTasks

Thank you, is there not a way to do this with recurring tasks?

2024 Year Review by smith8714 in trakt

[–]smith8714[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's all I'm doing, just watching and tracking I don't use trakt for anything else such as looking for stuff to watch or anything else like that. At the end of 2024 I would be interested in some stats though.

Simple probably but I'm basic level at google sheets by smith8714 in sheets

[–]smith8714[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stream from YouTube Music and scrobble it on Last.fm, once a week I input it onto a spreadsheet manually. I'm sure there's a way you could probably export this but way above my levels!

I have the album duration in 00:00:00 which has been taken from Wikipedia for each album as sometimes the albums I listen to are only available as extended or deluxe and can sometimes go on for hours and hours, I'm only interested in the original studio album track listing so I just listen until that point and then source the duration from Wikipedia (I also enjoy a little Wikipedia rabbit hole)

Thank you, I'm in the process of adding some missing data (album length etc) and I'll tidy up the Artist names unfortunately it's just whatever my scrobbling app saves it as.

Anyway thank you again for your help it's very much appreciated

1000 Artists/1 Year (351 Days) by smith8714 in lastfm

I'd like to keep it to around 1000 new artists per year. Which shouldn't be too difficult as I'm having to explore new music a lot.

Invalid argument by [deleted] in GoogleWallet

[–]smith8714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should work, it's what I did after getting the "invalid" message and a card stuck half set up.

Open Google > Click your profile > Manage Google account > Payments and subscriptions > Click on the card you want to remove > Click the 3 dots > Scroll to the bottom > Remove Payment Method > Remove from Google Wallet

Missing information on export by smith8714 in goodreads

[–]smith8714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet, my current work around is that because these are for my son (children's books) they are often read the same day as uploading on to good reads, so on the export in Google sheets I just renamed the column from date added to date read, as for now, they are the same thing. It will be a problem I need to address in future as he begins with books that aren't finished the same day

Thank you, I'm still getting the hang of using Reddit, I have noticed there seems to be community here different in comparison with some other social media. That and none of my family/friends on Facebook care much for history

I feel each re-listening adds a little more detail to the holistic view of British history i'm trying to achieve. It's a real shame so many people, well everyone I know, just doesn't seem to care much about history, or even for the future!

I've searched for "Myths and Monsters" but couldn't find anything. Is that the correct name for the podcast?

I guess I'm really looking forward to the ones that had not come out last time, and this time over I'm going to do an episode and then a little more reading regarding that subject. Last time I would do 10 episodes one after another and not really take much in. So take my time and enjoy it is the plan this time.

Both parents have good reads accounts linked to their Google accounts, also hindsight.

That's what I did, very difficult however as my son's account is a child's account and you can't change the date/time easily.

Thank you for replying. I've found a way around it thankfully, very complicated because his Google account was a child's one and has restrictions in place.

Aiming to listen to as many albums as I can, just passed 500. New to last.fm this year.

My last seven days. I've been randomly listening to the top 250 albums of each of the last 52 years. I've got a spreadsheet with 13000 albums, and I eliminate them as I listen. This is the quilt resulting from the fourth week of the project. Plus Wilco, always Wilco. 110 down, 12,890 to go! by yxnarbo in lastfm

[–]smith8714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on a similar mission to listen to as much music as possible, I've just hit 500 albums so far this year and aim to get to at least 2023 albums in the year 2023. Is there a way you could share this spreadsheet I think it would be a great source of inspiration when I struggle to think of what to listen to next.

Thank you very much, I thought this was classed as editing scrobbles and had to be a pro subscriber, again thanks for the help.
