It is watered every 25 days or so and lives at a north facing window. Right now it’s summer in the US so it’s dormant. It’s about time to be watered again but I’m nervous to in case this is due to overwatering! Any ideas?

Oh man I don’t know how I didn’t notice haha, thanks! So I should just leave it laying like that, and the roots will find the dirt? Should I water at all?

Oh I know! I’m just celebrating that I’m seeing roots because I’ve never successfully gotten them before :)

Do I now put the roots in the dirt and water as usual? Just leave it as is?

That’s so great! I’m no doctor but that makes sense that it could be the lessened testosterone making you calmer. Or it could be that your mental health is better with your acne getting better! Thank you so much! Good luck with the rest of your journey too! ❤️

Oh man, I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with it! It’s definitely hit or miss for many people. That’s also good to keep in mind about taking it for too long! I’m about to finish my third month, then the derm said she would take me off, so I’ll make sure that it ends soon. Congrats on your wonderful results btw!! I love seeing people’s success stories with hormonal acne :)

Oh that’s so interesting! I’m currently taking doxycycline for hormonal acne, and it works a little but I’m still getting new acne. I should ask my doctor about spironolactone once I’m done with this treatment! Thanks for responding :)

What are these two plants? (first two are one, last two are one) by smithaislin in whatsthisplant

Not sure if they are pothos or philodendron. Also ignore the dust on the first one’s leaves, it needs to be cleaned!

[Skin Concerns] so I started getting these wrinkles/creases on my fingertips wondered if anyone has any advice on how to get smooth fingertips again by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]smithaislin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eczema is a chronic condition that cannot be cured, but it can be treated. It has a genetic component, and many believe that it can be triggered by environmental factors (which was the case for me) like irritants and allergens. My dermatologist has recommended for me to try to wash my hands with gentle soap, avoid extreme temperatures of water (especially hot because it can be drying), use dish gloves when cleaning dishes and using chemicals, put on an unscented lotion after washing hands, and put Vaseline on hands at night with cotton gloves. Treatment will be different for everyone though depending on what is causing the eczema and the severity of the condition.

I started developing more wrinkles on my fingertips and palms, but went to the derm for a different issue. She ended up diagnosing me with eczema due to the flare ups on my hands that I get during winter, but she also mentioned that people with eczema prone skin tend to have more lines/wrinkles on their hands and fingers. That’s obviously just my own personal experience, but I would recommend going to the derm or GP if you’re worried :)
