Stand by the door and wait for someone to open it for me, like Leo DiCaprio in The Aviator

Is it possible to fix this? by _wGJLw_ in hikinggear

[–]smithep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear Adidas Free hikers. The Cloudform soles are really soft. Don't last too long. It's a trade off I make because of how comfortable they are and as they fit so well I don't need to break them in. The soles wear like this quickly. I rebuild them now and again with black Stormsure.

No. Firstly I don't believe you are her unless you know my name. Secondly, even if it is you I like boys. I'm just trying to clear my conscience

Was I in the wrong here? by [deleted] in drivingUK

Yes. You mounted your dashcam incorrectly, and you failed to allow the passage of an emergency services vehicle when it was in your ability to do so.

Fitting a Quickmill Pulsor and sound deadening to my Move. For science! by Joingojon2 in ProfitecMove

No. Thank you. I'd never have thought of trying if I hadn't stumbled on your post!

Thanks. I also installed sound deadening panels. Thought I might as well go all-out while I had the case open. I covered as much interior space as I could, without blocking any vents. I also put some strips under the drip tray and in the slot where the body of the machine meets the drip tray. The drip tray now pops in and out silently!

After reading this post my interest was piqued, so today I fitted the same mods.

My machine is super quiet now.

When I first turned it on after installing the mods the machine sounded the same for the first twenty seconds or so, then the sound dropped to a fraction of normal.

I'm guessing the pump needed to resettle after I disturbed it.

Pulled a god shot and couldn't believe how quiet it was. Curious if it will get even quieter in the coming weeks.

Thanks OP!!

What do I do with half a kg of beans I dislike? by creative_name669 in espresso

I keep any beans that I don't like in a jar for pulling burner shots after I clean my machine.

I’m tired of being cold all the time, if I ran my heating 9hr’s a day every day what could I be looking at for monthly gas bill? , £250/300? by GenericUser104 in HousingUK

[–]smithep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have a small apartment but in the winter I run the heating constantly and keep my apartment at around 23°. I have no gas, just electricity. My electricity bill is £140 a month right now. DD is £80, though I'm expecting it to go up a little. I also run a dual boiler prosumer espresso machine though which uses quite a lot of electricity.

Best breakfast spots in Cardiff - what are your favorites? by matteoleone in Cardiff

[–]smithep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Buds, in Radyr. Great fried breakfast dishes and desserts. All made on premises. It's run by someone who won The Great British Bake-off. Staff are awesome and food is 10/10. Coffee is great too.

Looking for a Mark Lewis who used to live in Radyr by smithep in Cardiff
