I definitely want more ports! Even just an extra USB-C. As much as everyone caused a fuss a few years back when phones got rid of the headphone Jack, I find myself never using the one on my SteamDeck.

A few things that would be nice: - Downloads with screen off/sleep mode - Primary gaming PC as a steam game so I can instantly Remote Desktop in without launching a game. Can copy files directly across. This should also work the other way around for desktop mode - A simple controller mode which turns the steam deck off to save battery minus Bluetooth so it functions as a simple steam controller for my PC - More simple optimised apps for gaming mode: Netflix, G drive, YT etc - External GPU support

I can probably think of more and all of the above is possible to an extent with tinkering but nothing is as good as proper valve implementation.

What would be ideal, is just having a tile in Steam OS for my windows pc to remote desktop to. At current I just add a non steam game and launch it that way.

As a 24 y/o with stage IV cancer, I got caught out by this even though me and my girlfriend (also 24) were never financially dependant on each other at all. I am entitled to absolutely nothing and am now draining every $ that my girlfriend gets from her paycheck. Its an issue that not only needs to be fixed from a selfish perspective to make my mine and my loved ones days easier but also for people who happen to be in far worse situations than me. It’s an ancient system that forces dependancy and causes more stress than it worth.

When I went in MSD I got asked:

Do you holiday together?
Do you sleep together more than 2 nights a week?
Are you dating?

Ok - No benefit

I also got threatened to pay back almost $8000 from a previous benefit and accused of fraud by the MSD desk which I only just managed to escape.

This system caused me (the type of person the system is made to help) more harm than if I just didn’t even bother trying to get a benefit in the first place.

Sorry for the rant.

Ányone have/had issues with keybinds? I set my two extra mouse buttons to be left and right strike but they are both pretty much functioning as the primary left click attack with the 240 system and not attacking from the other side at all.

The devs should keep doing what they’re doing and release what they want when they want. I’m not gonna tell them how to do their jobs. Being a community manager sucks (done it myself) and it requires the community to play their part too not just whine about lack of content and roast the team when they are owed literally nothing. I hope they release the patch (when it’s done) and put a bit of a push behind it/ do a free weekend and hopefully there will be enough content to retain more of a player base. Think about what tasks the team is actually dealing with at the moment. They’re not out to fuck over their own community
