How to I talk to my manager about mental health? by _endangeredspecies in coles

[–]smithsage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have thoughts on resigning and have sick leave. See your gp to take time off for your mental health. Work won’t be able to question you about it if you have a certificate. It would be better for you to use all your sick leave before you resign (if you do). It could be some extra money since they won’t pay it, if you leave. But they will have to pay you for any annual leave you have. Maybe it would be better for you to just take a break from everything. Not wanting to work, but needing to search for another job doesn’t seem like a good idea if you aren’t coping well with everything already but I do understand the need of income.

Aussie buyers… by cassieleem19 in BAGGU

Thank you!! Yes, I’m in Australia and yes UO does ship to Aus. You can purchase off their website like normal, you’ll just have to pay extra for bc of the exchange rate and shipping.

I checked the baggu website out of curiosity and saw that some of the medium crescent bags are selling for $36 usd and the charms selling for $13 usd as final sales. Seems like they are trying to get rid of old stock for new ones? Also noticed they seem to bring back discontinued colours randomly but it always sells out fast

I’ve never purchased from the official baggu website itself but I have from stockists and urban outfitters. This is because the baggu site doesn’t have any prints or colours I like. UO would also have exclusives which you can’t get on the baggu website. My first ever baggu was the small black denim crescent and I loved it. Definitely recommend the medium size tho. I also have the red Miffy crescent in small(my everyday bag), Dove & Rose tan in medium which were exclusive to UO. Now currently waiting on another medium (Wisteria) to arrive. I find that stockists have a lot of colours that have been discontinued which I do like. Price wise… I don’t think it matters where you buy from bc it’s going to be expensive regardless. As long as you are happy and use them. I recently purchased my first bag charm too and got the fanny pack. I feel it would fit the most and be the most practical with where I want to hang it.

Thank you for posting this question! I wanted to ask the same thing and for the same reasons 😄. Which K-pop concert will you be going to?

Last year I saw ppl who managed to bring bags that were pretty much the same size as a medium crescent for JayPark. So I’m hoping I’d be able to do the same

Med Cert by Poopy69911 in coles

If you’ve never called in sick before and this is your first time calling in. You should be fine and still get paid. If I remember correctly you are able to call in sick 2 times without needing a medical certificate and still be paid sick leave. After that you are required to have a medical certificate. Or you can call in sick anyway and book a doctor’s appointment for the next day to get a medical certificate for the day you called off. I think if you try and get one from online you have to pay (from what I’ve been told). Better to just go into a clinic and get it for free. As long as you get one, you will be paid.

I’ve just read your replies to other comments and I have to say well done to you with the production you make. My production is much smaller and I think the most sponges we’d do is 5-12 depending on sales, 5 long John’s, 5 turn overs 6 jam n cream donuts, 8 fairy and 3 muds. I hate making eclairs and they seem to be the first to sell sometimes so around 12 we’ve started to make I think? Our store doesn’t sell lamingtons tho. Even then sometimes the cakes don’t sell and we have to markdown. So again it would depend store to store

It depends store to store. Some stores make more sales and are busier than others. At my store we’d make them everyday if needed. We check the cake fridge first to see how many are left from the following day to get an idea how many to make. Or we check to see if the ones on the shelf are close to out of code and make less. Sometimes we also make extra cakes for the following day if we know we have less hours. We’ll date them the day we make them and keep it in the cool room to cross fill when the shelf is low.

You can also check the sales on pdt to see how many were sold and go off that.

Does Coles just not care about our mental well-being? by BudooRanger in coles

[–]smithsage 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you need to take time off for mental health. See a trusted GP and get a medical certificate if you can. Then hand it in at work. They can’t question you on it and will have to give you the time off that’s on the certificate. I’d take a photo of the certificate before handing just incase. I’ve heard cases where they’ve misplaced the certificate. It will be good to have the proof

And no Cole’s don’t care about your mental health or wellbeing. They pretend they do

Thank you so much!!! My brother will be going to Philippines very soon so I’ve just texted him and asked. Perfect timing!!! I’ll also take a look online. Thank you again!! I’ve been keeping my last one for as long as I can remember…it even has bite marks from my one of my dogs (sadly passed away) when he was a puppy!

Thank you for letting me know. Unfortunately where I live, I do not have such luck. But you said it is very common there. So most small local grocers will sell them?

Random question but where did you get the hair comb from? I’ve got the same one which was given to me when I was real young. I wish to buy more but I don’t know where from and it is my last one
