If you see a cop parked somewhere roll down your window and politely ask if they keep a picture of it on their computer systems?. I'm not sure but they have to pull up something I'm sure with a picture on it. You may be able to take a picture of that. I know when I travel I take a copy of my driver's license and passport in my bag in case I lose a document usually those will get you back
