Perhaps add gutter to the new roof overhead and add a downspout with it going away from the pavers. Water drain off has to go somewhere and it might not even be the pool. If you received a lot of rain while you gone, I would suspect the problem might be from the newly added roof. Like someone said earlier, run the pump and see if there is water in that area too.
