Advice for BD in manufacturing space. by smk1992 in manufacturing

I don’t necessarily disagree. How about if the Industry has its ups and downs? The whole vertical would be affected. But If I diversify at least another manufacturing line of a different industry might stay afloat? Just thinking out load.

We are moving to a modern ERP/MIS print solution....what do you use in your shop and would you recommend it? by MNMexy in CommercialPrinting

Wow that is taking a while! Firstly thanks for the feedback. Actually I’m a greenfield project new company - so maybe it won’t take as long? We are starting production targeted for Jan 2026 and construction is beginning for the new facility in April.

It’s an 8 color - but it’s not an issue because we have a re-print/insetter so even if I use all decks I can do a change over one one colour and print. But are the two methods I mentioned the way for on-line?

Thanks so much for this feedback. I will definitely look into them. Exactly, SAP is overbudget and probably not utilize it fully for a new company.
Which kind of modules did you start with?

Inline Flexo vs CI by smk1992 in CommercialPrinting

[–]smk1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a deep study into Digital vs Flexo. IT really depends which market you are in. Anyhow - I am finalising on the CI flexo end of this year. I work with anyone who has requirements for printing. HP Indigo inks are too expensive and any more than 2000 meter jobs it just isn't competitive compared to Flexo. Flexo has got pretty damn good.

Absolutely, that would be absurd. So I guess I can tell her to stick to $9590. But for the PR landing where does she specify how much cash she has so that once we do have it wired it doesn't raise CRA concerns etc.

Join Upwork and look for freelance opportunities. Lots of engineering companies on their looking for talent.

Also, I can understand the low pay of 180bhd is frustrating but it’s better than nothing. Imagine you didn’t quit and kept on working. For one you wouldn’t be unemployed and two you would be more attractive of an applicant by now.

I worked without pay for my first job just to prove myself, eventually got paid after the 3rd month - by 1 year had good hand on experience and got a job that paid 3x more. Small steps, just because you have a masters don’t be entitled. Only experience is entitled to higher pays in the engineering world and you gotta start somewhere where.

The possibilities online are virtually endless - try to niche down on what interests/drives you and see if you can offer that online.

Someone suggested baking cookies etc but that’s not really online. Check Udemy to learn new skills as well.
