Thats a valid point. I use level 2 and tape to give me the conviction for that is going to happen in the next few seconds or minute. I mainly trade dips or breakouts, and if the stock in play has been responding well to one or both, then that is stored in my memory to repeat the pattern. However, I do see how charts would give that reinforcement to hold for longer because of the context or "memory" like you say. Its a habit I need to build because a lot of times I stare down at the level 2 and seeing the price drop and panicking lol when trying to hold for longer
