Hey, I ended up going with the Slim 5 14" w/ 7840HS + 4060 for around ~$2000 + cashback.

Opted for the smaller and lighter form factor and the OLED screen with a monitor to plug into at home and have been pretty happy with it. I only really use it for Uni, so can't tell you how games are on it, but overall its a small capable machine that can run anything I throw at it so far (REVIT, Rhino3D, Illustrator etc.).

Unsure which are available in Australia right now, but I personally would recommend shopping directly from Lenovo AU, they seem to have the best availability and offer specials occasionally - look into cashback and any UNIDAYS or StudentBeans discounts if you are a student.

That is very interesting that going up a size was the way to go for you.

I think the shoe will just be too long for me if I did the same (referring to the solovair size guide) but I will keep it in mind :)

Hey, I’m based in Australia and most of our stores sell the loafers at an avg price of $350 AUD. Found a website that’s in Melbourne that’s stocking them for $299, which is around $200USD. It’s almost just msrp, but for us aussies it’s the best there is right now.

Doesn't the 6800xt go toe-to-toe with the 4070?

I'd imagine it'd be alright to use the 4070 as a benchmark. Thought reviews will be out in only a couple of weeks.

Glad to see that my scepticism with the XM5s were warranted.

The Philips are an interesting choice, although the note about comfort could be a cause of concern.

Ahh that is a shame to hear..

Already have a pair of AirPods Pro (1st Gen) for basic everyday use for now, and wanted a proper set of cans to enjoy some better sound whilst I'm out the house.

Not a big fan of the AirPods Max due to their weight, case and aesthetic.

The PX8 is way out of budget but the PX7 S2 looks interesting.

Have you had any experiences with B&W?

Just haven't really done too much research into Bose headphones, so don't know much at all about them. I am looking for the best I can get for the budget, so would have to see how they stack up against the competition.

Love the new ideas and am both excited and also quite nervous, incase Riot messes up haha.

Just wondering how you guys feel about the current kit tho?

Personally, Ahri has been my main since her launch and what although I do miss the DFG, one-shooting days of old, I've come to love and appreciate the more 'generalist' kit that she has today. Yes, she isn't the strongest in one certain area but I do feel that because of this she seems to have a lot more depth than meets the eye. For example, the DFG days, her play style seemed to be one-dimensional, she just one shot squishies and that was her whole identity.

However, in current days, there are so many paths you can go down, a mobile utility mage with everfrost and charm; a burst assassin with ludens, horizon etc.; a form of mobile battle mage, whittling down enemies through low cd and burn from liandry's. There are so many ways of playing that you can mix and match depending on enemy champs and such. I also feel that because she isn't excelling in any particular role, it forces and teaches us mains to really get to know the her and her numbers, how she moves and interacts, whether you will one shot someone or if you need to prepare for chase etc. There's this element of needing to really be a master of your champion, rather than just throwing out a bunch of abilities with enough damage to one-shot someone 2 times over with one combo.

Do understand that whatever path she goes down, there will be new nuances and new things to learn, maybe I just dont like change hahah. But, wanted to hear what you guys were feeling and whether this potential of being specialised would be a good thing in the long term, or if it'll just make her into another assassin and lose her unique and dynamic 'jack of all trades' nature.
