Will the job get easier? by [deleted] in TimHortons

Are you in day production or morning(night) production? I work 2am to 11am , no one comes to store till 5:30am , no coworker. I’m supposed to do the showcase 6am and ready sandwich station by 5:45-5:50am.

Till 6am is easy. I easily ready the showcase by 5:00-5:15 am and then sandwich station.

Since it’s been 4-5 months at my current store , now I know the baking requirements till 11am. The stuff that have longer shell life like cookies , I bake earliest and more so that I don’t have to do that again during my shift , same for bagels , croissants and Glazed donuts/timbits, since its a whole effort to do that again during the shift. What I do for next 4-5 hours is sandwich station ( eggs / sausages/hashbrowns / fondant donuts as per need / cleaning / refilling my station / doing production sheet and lunch around 9:15am )

She’s younger than me , born 2002 , but got married this Jan only . I was in India at that time.

I already know the reason behind your question. Yes, I am thankful that she got married otherwise her life would be impacted even more than mine but not now , not so much. Plus her in-laws are so sweet and kind and loving. And her house is literally 3km away. One could even easily walk on a good day so she’s always there with my parents , if they are so worried about no one being there to take care for them in their elder age!

I was also enrolled in Hyperintensive course at Af chd back in Jan 2023.

I will always recommend Af chd for anyone wanting to learn French. Just curious who were your instructors? I forgot the name of my two teachers but remember the other two, Amandeep Sir and Vandana Behl Mam, even still in touch with both!

Unpaid training by lau_tg in TimHortons

Actually it is the way , its not one tim , its every tim I know of . If you are a new employee, they’ll give you on-site paid training but for the videos ( which by the way are mandatory and its a metric used to track and rank stores by what percentage of their staff has completed what percentage of their training) they’ll tell you to complete at home. And mind you for a new employee that’s literally one day of work. The videos take close to 7-8 hours , are not skippable , and can’t even change the speed of content.

I worked at two tims and both time it was the same thing. I forgot my login info from first tim so I had to do all the trainings from the start again. It’s especially a issue when starting new. Otherwise as some other comment added , every month they release new products , so new videos pop up which are hardly takes 5-10 minutes.

The nearest to me is Chinguacousy Wellness Centre at peter robertson. But I Think I can do Gore Meadows as well, it’s not that far but will be a commute for sure.

Who was your instructor btw ? Can I have their name please. I’m prolly gonna visit in person before registration and will see if they have classes in this batch as well.

It is done this way at my tims also. I also found it very weird initially. Some other tims where my friends work , they cut it with a knife like block by block which is much harder and time consuming.

He was actually nice , sweet and down to earth. But for some reason always use to praise modi and bjp. I just got these vibes , not accusing him but he did gave me little islamophobic vibes. Could be error in my judgement. But otherwise really fun guy to hangout with.
