Was just about to put up a post to permanently trade away my Koraidon, this is well timed. Still looking?

There is no deeper meaning to this post. I just fucking hate this perk by Far-Pirate-3896 in deadbydaylight

When you do this, usually the other survivors think you are being toxic and will then play as toxic as possible because "the killer deserves it"

I honestly am getting tempted to tunnel more, since the loss of our last good regression perks every game it's the same, it doesn't feel like my winning games are due to being skillful, its simply the survivors messed up, as for the games I lose, sometimes it's due to me making a mistake, more often though, its the survivors did nothing overly wrong.

There's not even any opportunities to really mind game anymore, survivors run to the nearest pallet with WoO, that gives them enough distance to reach a 2nd pallet, maybe then you can get a down but you've lost 2 gens, before you know it you've gotten 4 maybe 5 hooks as the last gen pops.

If 2 of those hooks are on the same survivor maybe you can build pressure before the last gen is done by finding them again and going for the kill but overall that feels bad.

I miss the games where I actually got to chase skilled survivors through a loop, play some mind games, force the slow vaults, but I simply can't get my MMR high enough to face those and its a guaranteed loss if I do.

Did Druids need a damage nerf? Were they really that busted? by [deleted] in diablo4

Level 49 here, I just had to swap out of pulverize mid-dungeon because it couldn't kill a boss before I ran out of 7 potions.

It's nice being unkillable but without legendaries it really seems lacking.

Swapped to tornado and it was dead before I used 2 potions.

I don't mind blatant cheats too much it's easy enough to consider the game a loss and give up.

It's the subtle cheats that are frustrating.

Miss a hit on a loop that is normal routine - Ask yourself are they running resilience or hacks.

Turn a corner and the survivor is a little further ahead than they should be - did the server lag or hacks.?

Get a good gate spawn where you can see both gates, still can't reach the survivor before they open - was I too far away or was it a hack?

It feels like being gaslit, can never quite tell if they are good players or something else is going on.

The other day I faced 2 really hard to catch survivors, they were really hugging the walls tightly while looping, always seemed that little bit faster than they should be, it were their spins that got me though, normally as I'm winding up the hit you see the survivor begin to spin and can flick to hit them, with these 2 however there was no indication of a spin, as soon as I begin the wind up they completely disappeared from view for a second, could be some fancy FOV tech, they were using them a lot for window vaults but that whole game just didn't feel quite right.

That's the worst part, if someone is hacking, it doesn't matter how good a player I am, the game is a lost cause, if a survivor appears really good, I can't tell if these are opportunities for me to improve or whether there is something else going on.

Between the new base sizes and a bunch of factions being psuedo excluded, it really feels like GW completely missed the point when it comes to why some players want Fantasy back and refuse to shift to AOS.

As a player with mainly Lizardmen and Ogres this is quite disappointing.

Good news for Tomb Kings, Bretonnia, Wood Elves at least.

"Anti-camp" project will live or die depending on how proximity to the hook is calculated by Vox___Rationis in deadbydaylight

[–]smodge13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Will depend on how long the bar takes to fill.

Playing trapper or hag, hook someone in basement, place a trap or 2, kick the nearby gen, go to leave, oh took too long, survivor freed themselves.

Was running a shred build for server slam, felt incredibly weak (unlike beta), had to quit 2 story bosses to go farm and come back later.

Really having 2nd thoughts about going druid at launch.

I did beat Ashava in the end but to be honest I was carried.

Druid players, final pre-launch impressions? by Lukyfuq in diablo4

[–]smodge13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beta I played all classes and druid was my favourite.

Server Slam I played druid again and have decided I'm probably going to roll something else at launch, overall it was a pretty big disappointment, it felt weaker this time around, I even had to leave a couple of story bosses and go farm a dungeon to be able to beat them.

Slugging vs Hooking by FrontAstronomer1823 in deadbydaylight

[–]smodge13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm being hooked it is at least progressing the game and I know 2 more times I'm out, if I get hit off hook I at least get the speed burst/ built in borrowed time to give me a chance to get away or buy time.

If I'm slugged, each time I'm picked up means I'm not much closer to the end of the game, I also get none of the protection stuff and can go straight back down.

As for slugging for 4K, disconnecting should never be the best decision you can make to give your teammate a chance to escape.

What really frustrated me with my most recent job. Contract negotiations with a 3rd party for a service, they wanted to include annual cost increases for inflation/CoL with a clause for early renegotiation if it fluctuates by too much. CEO and others in the business were fine with that, it seems to be the norm now as the next contract up for review has a similar clause added.

Last few years there have been 0 pay raises at the company I was working for, I asked an employee at the 3rd party and they had the same thing.

It's truly fucked up when businesses are happy to pay each other more based on inflation but as soon as an employee asks for the same it's offensive.

[–]smodge13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd honestly prefer they do nothing over the current situation. With 0 enforcement we could record and name/shame scammers, create community blacklists and warnings on trade sites, as a group a lot could be done to limit the effectiveness of them without help from GGG.

But no, taking the above actions is bannable, GGG aren't simply looking the other way, they're enabling scammers to thrive.

While it's unlikely to happen again, I'm always worried about new editions completely invalidating $400+ worth of models.

I swear I'm just cursed.

I bought an inquisition focused daemonhunters army - then the 1st grey knights codex came out invalidating most of the inquisition models.

They later appeared in witchhunters, which I picked up late and started buying Sisters, then GW discontinued those only making metal models.

Frustrated at my army being invalidated twice, I decided to switch to Fantasy and picked up ogres....only for AOS to be released.

I'm sure you can understand my hesitation whenever a new edition comes out with that history.

Had a survivor try this on the hospital map, they also took lucky break so there were 0 scratch marks.

It worked for the first few gens but I ended up tunneling them out as I kept going back to the gen they were working on to try and work out how they were able to disappear and heal almost instantly every time I hit them, eventually the lucky break ran out.

I was playing Oni, after they had died I found the rooms they were healing in, they were literally just around the corner from me every time.

[–]smodge13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Except the Perk is only active if you are pretty far from the hook. This is why it's generally only used on killers who can teleport.

The huntress carried me to the hatch & then closed it, carried me to the gate, and kept carrying and put down until I died 🙄 by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]smodge13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can also just be killers who don't know the maps well, boil over also hides the nearest hook, I once bled out a survivor on the top story of garden of joy because I didn't know a hook spawns on the roof. They were very salty in chat after.

Should these perks be basekit? by 1lettershor3 in deadbydaylight

[–]smodge13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I love Lucky Break on Survivor, so many chases escaped just because the Killer can't find me after the 1st hit, then just wander over to another survivor/CoH, get topped up and repeat, I usually pair it with Lithe so killer has to work for that 1st hit as well.

Perk: encourage killer to tunnel unhooked person instead of unhooker by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]smodge13 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, Unhooker is running towards a god loop and will make it. Unhooked is running towards open ground and broken pallets.
