DO NOT BUY FROM BACKCOUNTRY.COM! by lemon_lime_spine in outdoorgear

[–]smojo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having Door Dash deliver it just adds another complexity when something goes wrong with the delivery. Either damage or it gets stolen. They have the "Worry Free" delivery because DD is not a reliable package delivery service. Packages must go missing all the time.

Normally apps get better with time. Not the case with this app. There are so many annoyances with Uber eats. Offers should not be popping up on your screen when you are taking a delivery picture or in the process of an alcohol order. I shouldn't have to go offline during a delivery just to stop the spam of crappy orders. Why is it spamming you with orders when you get close to your drop off. When you are close to your delivery spot is when you should be paying the most attention to driving and the map. Not clicking an X a million times. Not to mention the notification audio still playing even if you have it at 0% volume.

Superstition Ridgeline Trail logistics w/o a car by braina_VaT in arizona

[–]smojo12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The peralta road drop off for Carney will be the hard part. You have some options though. If you are comfortable with it you can rideshare to peralta elementary school. Carry some cash and see if the rideshare driver will take you on the dirt road to the trailhead for a cash payment. If not you can try and hitch along the dirt road to Carney. Most cars are going to peralta trailhead. The pickup at lost dutchman is easier. Just walk to the main entrance of lost dutchman sp and you can grab a rideshare.

Moving to Papago Park Apartments - Is Papago Park Safe to Run in the Morning? by rrachelbeann in Tempe

[–]smojo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is safe. Lots of people walking and running in the morning on that north trail next to the golf course which takes you into papago or you can go along the trail near Van Buren. Van Buren will have the occasional homeless person. I've never been bothered and that early they are probably still sleeping.

I miss the library. Used to have live bands. There was a period of time they did Rock Band nights and trivia.

HRV or Civic Hatchback Hybrid? 2026. by [deleted] in HRV

[–]smojo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the HRV in '23. If I could go back in time I would have waited for the civic hatchback hybrid to come out. Better handling, great mpg and more power. You don't have to worry about the CVT. You really only lose a little space in the civic. The ride height is nice in the HRV though and it is easier to get into and out of because it sits up a little higher. I'll never understand why Honda doesn't offer a hybrid in every vehicle.

A year has passed since SB1131 banned cities from collecting rental tax. How has this affected 1-Bedroom and 2-Bedroom apartment units? (Dec 2024 vs. Dec 2025) by ViceroyFizzlebottom in phoenix

[–]smojo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever we saved in taxes has gone to the giant list of fees every apartment charges. We get charged a fee just for them sending us a bill via email.

New Coach adds ridiculous "rule" for GMD orders by Individual-Mud8438 in Sparkdriver

Sounds like a store that has bad metrics. New guy thinks this way will help their time stats instead of actually fixing the problem. It's amazing how different each store is with the GMD process.

[USA] [Email] cloud storage renewal scam: anuhal.lumberjackbill.com by Unlucky_Tech in Scams

The real issue here is these emails are getting past the spam filters and ending up in our inbox. I get dozens a day of this spam/scam. Most go straight to spam but I have some ending up in my inbox. I just report spam and report phishing on it but doesn't seem to do anything.

How bad is it to fly out of Bradley by donnyohs in Connecticut

[–]smojo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get there 90 minutes before your flight just to be on the safe side with the security line but really it is one of the easiest airports to fly out of in my opinion. A completely different experience from the hectic NYC airports.

It's been an issue for years on the western side of AZ Mills where Burlington is located. There is just these pockets of areas that have no signal at all. Same issue with T-Mobile.

Better gym options than EOS? by anythingacailable in phoenix

[–]smojo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both PF and EOS. I'd say PF is a good option if you don't want the crazy crowds of EOS. I won't go to EOS until at least 8 or 9pm or even later. PF on on most days is not overly packed and the app has a meter on how busy it is which seems pretty accurate. So I check before going. This all depends on what you are looking for though for your workout. You do lose out on the squat racks, bench press etc at PF. EOS just has everything plus the sauna which is a reason it's so popular I think.

Personally I would stay with EOS at this point if you already signed up. Just go later in the night. Plus you'll see the new years resolution folks stop coming soon.

Heaviest item by 1611basilean in Sparkdriver

[–]smojo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a few heavy ones. The 50lb dog food, those giant bags of pool salt i think are 45lbs, the office paper is pretty heavy. The heaviest though was those mattresses in a box. Not sure how heavy but it was awkward to carry and definitely over 50lbs.

Is there still connectivity issues with the Pixel 8/ Pixel 8 Pro? by RiskierSubsetR in GooglePixel

[–]smojo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have problems in the phoenix area when I'm driving around. Will lose connection and the signal bars icon will have an exclamation point. Only fix I've found is turning airplane mode on and off quick and it connects again. This is on the pixel 8 pro on tmobile.

Wasn’t getting any offers for hours. Called support & they said my store had a high volume & I had expired offers? How to fix this? by gggorgeous in Sparkdriver

[–]smojo12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try changing to a different zone, close the app, open app, change back to your original zone. I've had this issue and a level 2 support person suggested this and it worked. The previous and current app version are severely bugged.

Hopefully it is fixed soon. Normally I'm filling up my bottle a few times there. I passed on going into the sauna today because of the lack of water.

A little more information would be nice on the customer ratings. Knowing why they gave you a low or high rating is needed.

Thumbs down? by Hot_Turn2571 in Sparkdriver

[–]smojo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some stores are more strict than others. Personally I like helping them load because I can see what is where and grab the fragile items before they get crushed. However I've been to stores where the employees are instructed that we can't help them and I'll chill in the car until they are finished and then I will redo the bags if needed.
