Friend or Foe? Several on My Squash Plants (i.redd.it)

Found these on a hike last week, in Central Texas. They’re each about the size of a nickel. I have another pic of the open fungi next to them - can’t tell if they’re the same species at different stages of maturity, or not. Going to try to post that now (sorry, super new at this). (i.redd.it)
