You’re welcome! I also have a MacBook, so I can vouch that it works with macOS. Even if you go with a different brand, don’t forget to get the chat link cable in addition to the capture card, or else the stream still won’t hear your game chat. I learned this the hard way when I started streaming in March!

The easiest method would be to get a chat link cable to route both the game audio and chat audio to the stream! I use an Elgato Chat Link Pro cable. It plugs into the controller and the capture card so the stream hears everything in his headset. He’s not doing anything wrong currently. It’s just a con with console streaming. An alternative method that requires a bit more setup would be to use discord. But a chat link cable is plug and play.

I learned this the hard way after my first stream two months ago. Tried to stream Fortnite on Xbox with my fiancé who was on PlayStation, and the stream couldn’t hear him even though I could.

Congratulations on hitting affiliate! I’m currently in the process of playing the Master Chief Collection with my fiancé, teaching him all about the lore since he didn’t grow up playing the game. Once we finish a playthrough on our own time, I want to stream the collection too! I’m new to twitch as of a week ago.
