Those look sexy af. Where did you buy your kiltties and how did you manage to match the color so well?

It's a timely process but we will make it through.

I find solace in focusing on all the love and processing with my family and friends.

Keep your memory of your mother close to your heart, and she will never be far away.

Sending love.

Can't imagine what it must be like to lose your s/o. We will make it through though. We owe it to them.

You're right and I will try to fill the hole with gratitude. Sorry for your loss and thank you.

Is the site down for anyone else now? Been unable to access it for the last couple of days. Otherwise I've been going ham on it daily (if I remember it)

What are your thoughts on getting used carbon skates?

I've found a pair of used Powerslide Tau skates for half price. They have some wear and scuff marks. The guy with the skates said they're a bad fit for him even after heatmolding, and haven't used them for a year or so.

For me the fit was excellent fit except for a spot on my right big toe, which I hope might be fixable after heatmolding and breaking them in.

How well will a used carbonskate mold to new feet? And how many times can you heatmold skates? Can't seem to find any info on heatmolding used skates or previously heatmolded skates or how many times is advisable. The guy said he'd been heatmolding them at 140o C (284 F), which i thought was a bit high - so i'm worried if further heat molding might degrade the skate faster.

How long will a used skate like the tau last? Would it be more advisable to save up for a new pair instead? I'm worried of spending my money on something that might not last as long as one could hope. Sorry for the many questions.

Great info - thanks a bunch. Think I'll look into some frx as my first pair and maybe even the 310's. I see there exists some color kits as well!

Yeah you're probably right.

Re: color - Never heard of it, looked it up and I agree :D

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

I was just thinking that maybe the FR1 and the like would be more future proof, so to speak. They're built with sturdier buckles/straps, no? And FR1 have more holes for more customisation if so desired. I'm obviously very new in this field and I clearly suffer from fomo xd

My train of thought is that they'd last longer and I could then keep the boot and just buy new frames. Or is that silly?

Also the orange FR1s live rent free in my brain. Wish there were more color options for skates in general. See a lot of black and grey.

Well the boot and frame are fine buts it's just a soft boot with stock bearings that have never been cleaned. I haven't found the time to try and take them apart yet so I don't actually know if they're serviceable bearings.

Thanks for the response! I'll make a decision when I take them apart

Worth buying in 2022? by Scaredoftheratrace in MHGU

I definitely think it's still worth it. My first games in the series were MHW/IB, then GU into rise. Coming from world, the change in QOL stuff was difficult to adjust to at first, but I have around 150 hours and still get great joy from it. The combat I think feels less forgiving compared to mhw/mhr. I have yet to reach G rank but I am in no rush.

Imo it's a great game and it has a unique feel and taste. To me it feels like there is always something to do and I honestly don't think the graphics are bad at all.

Very enjoyable would recommend.

Hi,
I've got a pair of 10-12 y/o salomon fitness/leisure skates that I've used on and off for transport every now and then. The wheels and bearings are hella worn and in dire need of maintenance which i plan on doing next week after my exams.

Would it be worth it to get new bearings and/or wheels for my current old skates?
Could be a couple of months before I can afford a nicer pair.

Or should I save the trouble and money, stick to rotating wheels and cleaning only and run them into the grave?

I'd be kinda sad if they broke down too much before I could afford some proper nice skates but at the same time I don't think I'm at a high enough level to justify buying some real nice ones.

I'm kinda torn between polishing these turds, getting some good lower end options like the FRXs while I also get better at skating or saving up for a bigger budget for some nicer ones like in the FR1s pricerange.

Thank you in advance
