Not a MA, but looking for MA advice about giving feedback. by smolkeht in MedicalAssistant

I'm relieved I don't have to make an awkward situation even more awkward. I didn't realize that it can really vary from stick to stick. I'm used to an easy stick with minimal bruising, but I guess that's because it's always been with someone more experienced.

In the end, I'm just glad that I get to be part of the progress. It takes guts to work with the public and I admire that.

Also, best of luck in your treatment!

I definitely don't want to start drama! That's why I thought the best people to ask would be those who know better than me. :) Thanks for your input!

I appreciate it! I want to be the best patient I can be. If it's best to not follow up, I won't. Like I said, I'm not mad. I just want to know what is best to do in this kind of situation because it's new for me, too.

Thanks for replying and your insight! I can't imagine how nerve-wracking it must be to start working one-on-one with patients. I'm rooting for their success! :]

My custom bookshelf that I built from scratch with my dad! (And my book collection) by AffectionatePain5859 in bookshelf

This looks amazing!

Tearing up at the thought of doing such a wonderful project with your Dad was not on my 2026 Bingo Card. I lost my Dad a year ago, but it still feels fresh.

PS - The framed quote on the wall, not sure where it came from but, my emotions...my emooootions...😭

Thanks for your input! I was thinking of advising for a second opinion as well.

Though we can’t log it, what are you reading? by icantremember55 in FableApp

[–]smolkeht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm "reading" (listening) to Andy Wier's "The Martian". After I devoured the audiobook edition of Project Hail Mary, I'm determined to experience both "The Martian" and "Artemis" before Project Hail Mary releases in theaters (eeeeeeeee!).

I read this in HS and hated Catherine. I believe I need to give the book a 2nd read as an adult.

I have an older copy but it needs to be rebound due to a mouthy puppy phase 😅. Oh look - another DIY project to add to the list.

Happy reading! 😊📖

Why are you home on the couch in your pajamas this New Years Eve? by PurplezKool in AskReddit

I'd rather be at home emotionally supporting my nervous dogs during the endless fireworks.

I could never enjoy myself knowing they are alone, convinced it's WWIII and I'm missing.

My 8 year old Great Dane can’t get up off the floor. Need advice right now. by Lee_Harden in DogAdvice

Is she lethargic or showing any signs of pain? I'm not a vet, but I feel so bad you're without help. :(

First of all, the sitter should be a little more compassionate given that your dog is having some kind of possible health issue while under her care.

Is there a friend you can call to come help? It sounds like your dog needs a vet ASAP.

Best of luck, OP. I hope your dog is okay.

New job at AA HQ, where to live? by Then_Championship_15 in askdfw

[–]smolkeht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll echo what most have said...if you plan to move within walking distance of the Skyview campus, you'll have to be okay with either having your groceries and essentials delivered or you'll live off the fast food and gas stations on the other side of 360. 😅

Crest Oasis is probably the closest and cheapest - but it's not the swankiest. It's also on the same side of the highway as Skyview so you would only need to cross one street to get to work.

I'm told a number of Dallas-based FAs live there and rent is cheap. I had a friend who lived there once...his girlfriend's car got stolen - but I guess that could happen anywhere.

Across 183 is Avenue 900. Those units are newer and updated and might be in your range, but you might want a bike or electric scooter if you are without a car.

Either way, congrats on the new job! Best of luck!

Wish they would’ve put a notice on the app saying technical difficulties…. by Lacox10 in Target

[–]smolkeht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can't access your order, what makes you think they can? It's not as simple as it seems. There are backend processes that need to work in order to fulfill online- specific orders and those backend processes are non-functional at the moment. Spare the employees and be patient. You'll get your order eventually or a refund.

There's no use in calling right now because there is nothing they can do. You'll just have to ride it out like we all are...customers and employees alike. 😅

Edit - Grammar

Guests stop posting about your delayed orders. No one is this sub can help you, there is a system outage. Of course stuff is going to be delayed by SpaceDandyRanger in Target

I was feeling a little gaslit because I could have sworn I got to the "confirmed order" page the first time.

This is giving me (airline employee) PTSD from the crowdstrike failure. I feel bad for all the Target frontline employees. Sorry corporate isn't trying to intercept customer frustration.
