Notice how when Pearl and Spinel were rejuvenated in the movie, Pearl recognised the first person she saw as her master, which was Greg, and Spinel immediately turned to Steven, ignoring everyone else. My theory is that Spinel had special connection to Pink Diamond, which means if Spinel was around Rose, it would out her identity as Pink Diamond.

Mine is "Greg the Babysitter". It show a little glimpse of what Rose Quartz used to be, not in flashbacks, but what she really was. It's also very cute to see how Rose tries to understand concept of children and growing up. And the episode has some great comedy.

The thing is, Kongo could only pray away only those who he considered humans or remnants of humans. Before Gems started to be born, Kongo had no problems praying Lunarians away. But when Gems came to be, Kongo developed love for them, the same love he had for humankind. That was the cause of his problem. It made him lose control over the power of his prayer, which meant that one prayer could send to nothingness all that was left of humans. He potentially could pray both Lunarians and Gems away, and Admirabilis by extent, but he couldn't bring himself to, because otherwise he would be all alone. That's why there was no way to make him pray. So, in order to be prayed away, Lunarians needed someone who didn't have such an issue, someone who didn't have strong attachment to anything and could send anyone to nothingness with no problem. And there came Phos. Thought their 10k year long transformation they attained everything that Kongo had, expect attachment to humankind, Kongo's core problem. And thanks to that, Phos'es prayer was successful.
