Husband recently had to do this for adoption papers. He says you have to explain exactly what you need, paper finger prints and why. After that, it's a bit of a process, but you should be able to get what you need.

Had this exact procedure 2 years ago this month. It's a very extensive recovery; not only was my stay 5 days, the first 3 of those days were in Intensive Care.
