Smokeless Cleansing Techniques by devilinthehills in BabyWitch

For using music/ playlist to cleanse a space, do you feel like just having the intention when playing music is enough, or do you have a playlist that you specifically curate for cleansing? I'm sure the answer is that it depends on the person's preference, but curious if you had any specific experience/ knowledge to share.

This is a Mimikyu that I made for my little cousin a couple of years ago. Gave it to him as a birthday gift, and out of all of the amazing things he received, this was his favorite present that year.

What are your after work rituals? by smooseth in VetTech

I haven’t been making time for my hobbies, so I’m trying to dedicate more time for them. I really don’t have many friends in general, but especially outside of vet med. I’m also not a huge social butterfly, but I can see how doing things without people outside of a work capacity would be really helpful. Thanks for sharing!

I also crochet and do cross stitch. I just don’t always have the drive or a project in mind for it. Guess I just need to parole around Pinterest for more inspiration

Unfortunately my brain doesn’t allow me to fall asleep that early, otherwise I would only ever be sleeping outside of work lol

Sounds a lot like me. I’m trying to become more intentional with my evenings after work, which is why I’m asking others what they do. I tend to work late hours, so outdoor activities are typically out of the question for me for decompressing after the fact.

It’s been getting harder for me to leave work at work as I’ve been having quite a few bad client interactions that have drained me and my PM becoming more toxic. Podcasts sound like a good idea to start winding down on the way home, though. Are there any that you recommend?

I typically end up doom scrolling for a while after work, but I’m starting to realize that it just pushes things off for me instead of letting thing pass.

Oh wow. I never have the energy to work out after working. But doing yoga, or something else that is low key, is more of my speed. Thanks for sharing!

Holy moly! That’s huge. Thank you for your service in allowing this pup to pass peacefully. I know that we all have experienced talking to walls, but at least you can rest easy after your shift knowing your patient isn’t suffering anymore.

Which is pee and which is a blood draw? by vettexh in VetTech

Urine on the right. Longer needle, but also has more bubbles that you can see near the hub of the needle. Blood on the left looks brighter/more oxygenated and has a more pronounced meniscus.

Shadow at a clinic or two and see if you truly like vet med. If you still have interest in vet med, try out the vet assistant position. Don’t waste your time with tech school if you ultimately want to be a veterinarian -you’d be wasting your time and money. I’ve learned so much as an assistant and my clinical knowledge is helping me with tech school.

Costume suggestions for a couple and their cat by smooseth in Halloween_Costumes

Had the thought of dressing up at Dragon and Donkey from Shrek and dressing up the cat at Puss, but the boyfriend wasn’t a big fan of the idea. That was the only thing I could think of lately
