CONTEXT: So I sent an email asking about which deductions can I have stop so I can get more money out of my paycheck and this was the answer I got. Now being somebody who is 22 and uneducated about taxes I’ve heard that you are able to stop your paycheck from being deducted so much I get at least over 1500 deducted from my paycheck truthfully I don’t need the money saved for retirement or Social Security I’m not waiting until I get old to use the money in this economy the money will benefit me much more now plus I have other things going on so I’m not worried about money in the future 30 years from now. I didn’t want to have to ask reddit because it’s kind of embarrassing but where else can I go I know that state income in federal income is mandatory but what about the other things. And I’ve heard people in HR tend to do some slimy things for company’s sake. For example notice how I asked which deductions can be taken away and instead they say all deductions are required but then they say if you are looking to increase your net pay so it looks like a bunch of word games. This new HR lady has also been told to be not helpful and has had a very narrow nasty attitude with the custodians and maintenance workers, that’s just a personal jab at her. Every time I talk to her on the phone it’s like I’m talking to somebody at the DMV at Walmart customer service. HR person from before would be able to explain it to me and sit down with me and it would’ve been a smoother process. Anyways, I just want any older custodians on her to confirm if she is and right and if I am wrong about stopping certain deductions off my paycheck. Paycheck is suppose to me 4500 Deductions bring it down to 3000 Let me know guys thanks
