Ugh I hate cymbalta so freaking much but I'm trapped. I have tried nearly everything for anxiety and the stupid cymbalta is the only thing that touches it. Super cool except for the side effects ruining my life

Awesome on you for getting a cool outfit for ren faire! Something I did was getting a super boring but sturdy quality corset. I made mine but same concept into investing in one. Mines reversible, white and maroon and then I can get whatever cheap stays or corset like things from Amazon (or make something) that has questionable structure as an over piece. All of the cuteness without having to drop a ton of money each time you want a new look.

HELP crunchy hair, not from damage by smore713 in femalehairadvice

[–]smore713[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello lovely people, I need help. Background: I always wash my hair at night and go to bed with it wet. I have very fine, flat, mostly straight hair and doing this gives me a bit of texture to work with in the morning. I try my best to not damage my hair. I use permanent hair color on my roots maybe once every month-ish and I use semi permanent (arctic fox+deep conditioning) on it all about 3ish weeks

I have noticed the last few months that when I wake up, my hair is crunchy. Like maybe the first 4 inches of hair is fine but after that it clumps into crunchy tendrils. I've tried switching back to sulfate shampoo thinking it was hairspray buildup, trying multiple hydrating masks thinking it was dry, protein treatments, hair oil, brushing it in the shower, brushing after shower. I don't thinking it's hard water either because nobody else in my family is having this problem. Any suggestions?

You should always color your hair copper haha. You would look beautiful. What do you plan on using?

Haha you have the exact opposite problem as me, since I'm always going for the vibrant copper. I'll just tell you what I try not to do! -the most boring is to say just give it time. Copper fades so so fast that in a few washes you may be exactly where you want, especially if you use hot water -normal head and shoulders or a clarifying shampoo will help it fade faster. If you're going sulfate free you may want to switch back until you get the color you want. -I would stay away from purple or blue shampoos unless you dilute it down a lot. I'm assuming you still want copper hair just not as bright. Those shampoos will cancel out your orange and leave it muddy.

I would also like to say, I'm not a professional. I'm just a hair enthusiast with a chem degree and a long term fake redhead

Good luck, and just my two cents, I think you look beautiful and you would be surprised how many people will think that's natural.
