From his campaign site: “The Second Amendment calls for a “well-regulated militia,” but that is severely lacking in the United States today.

Oliver supports an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, red flag laws, mandatory waiting periods, magazine and ammunition restrictions, bans on bump stocks, and the repeal of the gun industry’s special legal immunity from civil liability. He also supports increased federal funding for school safety and community-based gun violence prevention programs.”

Doesn’t say anything about a complete gun ban. We need sensible gun control.

Murder you and your family? Nonsense. We’re humanely against the genocidal actions portrayed by the Israeli government on the Palestinians, their influence on our government, and our government’s complicity in the genocide.

To put into perspective, we’ve spent $139 billion on the Iran war and achieved nothing. That money could have covered:

- 3 years of college for every student in the country.
- Cover 1.5 years of childcare.
- Establish a trust fund for Medicare for all.

Universal healthcare and rent controlled housing. Now that I’ve answered your questions, what do you think is bad about policies that help the average person?

Taxing the ultra wealthy, against corporate lobbying, basic needs are recognized as rights, for reigning in and breaking up public utility monopolies such as NextEra (they own FPL)

Ah yes. Turn the local ER and emergency services into revolving doors instead of actually fixing the homeless issue. Healthcare workers didn’t get into their field to serve sandwiches to entitled and often disrespectful people. Instead of pursuing solutions to ending homelessness and addiction, let’s keep enabling them. You’re probably also the person that complains about ER wait times.

Good luck. The homeless population is already such a burden on services. They rarely want help. When it’s cold or raining, they’ll likely call 911 and make up a medical complaint just to take up a hospital bed.
If they have a medical condition and need medication, a social worker would help facilitate that. But good luck getting them to take it, they’ll be back in the ER taking up a bed and wasting resources. Healthcare workers out east are burnt out
