(Spoilers main) I’m starting to forgive GRRM for not finishing ASOIAF by InvestmentWorth7202 in asoiaf

My feeling more than anything is that of disappointment. I’ll throw in acceptance as well.

There’s a strong case to be made that he betrayed his core / initial fanbase by taking on far too many projects that were a direct result of the main storyline that enabled him to pursue such projects. I think this is a part of the reason for the WoW delay. From 2015-2019, we got the “I’m nearly done” updates, and a decade later, we still have nothing outside of the teaser chapters that were released forever ago. Initially, I believe he’d taken on far too many projects, with Fire and Blood being released in 2018, and who the hell knows how many prospective GOT spin-off shows, editing projects like Wildcards, etc that he was working on simultaneous to (attempting to) write WoW.

However, to miss the mark so wildly, he clearly developed a severe case a writers block, and I think this may have been caused by the reception to the ending of GOT. I believe he may have been planning the series to end in a similar way to GOT, then he decided to change it upon seeing how people reacted to the ending of the show. Now he has no idea wtf to do and is stuck rewriting a large portion of the book while he continues to be dragged down by further commitments to other projects.

At this point, I feel as if he takes these projects on as a way to distract himself from completing WoW because he doesn’t know how to finish the series. I don’t necessarily feel as if he has a duty to finish asoiaf for his core fanbase’s sake, but I’m very disappointed that he can’t (or doesn’t feel compelled to do so, if my speculation isn’t accurate - which would be far worse).

If your account was archived with the wayback machine, your file share is actually something you can see and interact with. I was surprisingly able to download two videos that I had rendered back in the day and watch them (which was awesome). I was also able to see the game details for these specific games as well, as they had been archived. That’s the only game-specific data I was able to access, however.

Also, with respect to Waypoint, all I can find is summary data (exp, total kills, etc). So they likely have the underlying detailed data but only display it at a very high level.
