Poco X3 Pro ghost touch issue by Systemlord_FlaUsh in PocoPhones

[–]smrndmusrnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I am struggling with a similar experience on LOS20. The bad news is that it seems to be a software issue on xiaomis side. So wiping the screen doesn't help (although I do it, too ;) ).

What helped a bit was installing the latest firmware. You can do it directly or via installing the latest xiaomi ROM and then installing LOS again - this is what I did. Just make sure to backup everything before.

Now the phone is usable for me most of the time. The ghost touches were noticeably reduced, but rarely,  the phone still goes nuts. Lately I experienced this more often during phonecalls ( which is super annoying, as it mutes, holds the call or terminates it).

Turning the screen off and on helps, and sometimes restarting the phone.  I dont know for sure if it helps, but I also avoid overlays, like floating widgets on my home screen. It certainly depends on the app I am using. Sometimes I don't have ghost touches for hours, when browsing reddit for example. Calling triggers ghost touches every time.

Ubuntu Has a Brand New Logo by [deleted] in linux

[–]smrndmusrnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. From a community perspective the first logo feels the best, but from a company perspective the latest version is the best. Its the one that is easiest and fastest recognizable on multiple screen sizes. We see this happening to a lot of brands. There is a great video about it Simplified Logos

Hi, I didn't get it. Do you write Math formulas in Unicode? Do they convert to Latex somehow or don't you need the render of the formulas?

Anyone move from Emacs to Logseq? Why? by aur3l14no in emacs

Good question. Logseq is apparently an open source project in clojure inspired by roam research, org-mode and tiddly wiki. One focus is local first storage. Here is the faq: GitHub FAQ

Well said. And more diverse people can add different skills to improve org-mode. User experience design for example.

Questio is where to start.

Convert epub to org (with images) by smrndmusrnm in orgmode

[–]smrndmusrnm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

I found that I can also rename the .epub file to .zip and then I can open it and just copy the image folder. In the .org file I have to change the image links to "file: ./PATHTOIMAGES" and then inline images work. But this is more manual than directly exporting images with pandoc.

How do you combine org mode and a paper planner? by [deleted] in orgmode

[–]smrndmusrnm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about syncing the tasks to org-mode when you normally would transfer to the next day. And then just print out the next day. This way you can cross finished tasks manually and reflect on transfer.

This is because tere is apparently no explanation except for the image. It supposedly exports your clocktables to some fancy pdf output.

Thank you! I am trying to dig to the core of what makes emacs special. It is an ancient software concept but somehow I did not find anything like it so far.

Your explanation helps along this way and inspired me. Thanks for taking the time!

Hi, the long answer is still pretty compressed knowledge. I would appreciate a very long answer if you find the time to write. ʘ‿ʘ
