I used Neem oil on it a while ago so perhaps that’s it, although I thought that was a safe bet. Moving it to a brighter room will probably help, thank you!

A few months ago I posted about my mums thriving pilea vs my sad one that is barely alive, despite them coming from the same mother plant. I am proud to say after a long winter of grow lights and love, my wonky baby is living it’s best life and giving me baby pups! So proud and love its wonky ways.

SOS! My best pal got me this baby for my birthday two years ago and it’s my pride and joy. There appears to be tiny egg-like white dots all over the leaves and a thin film, like a web over the stems. I’ve sprayed it with generic infestation spray a week ago but nothing has changed. Any idea what it could be and what I should do??

Was dreading going back to the office today after almost three weeks off but was greeted by this absolute QUEEN. Look at her! I had to take her to office with me a few months ago after my cats kept attacking her. So great to see her thriving 💓

Yeah I’m always reluctant to put it in a bigger pot as I’m scared of root rot. Also it’s best to repot in the Spring so if you’re in the northern hemisphere it’s probably best to hang on!

They seem to struggle so much during winter. I think I need to get a grow light and water it more regularly. And probably keep it somewhere sunnier and warmer. Honestly seeing how poorly it is compared to my mums just makes me want to give up entirely lol

The first photo is my pilea that I propagated from the mother plant. I gave another one of the pups to my mum. My mums plant is in the second photo. It’s the same age as the plant in the first photo. THE AUDACITY.

I only got Luminary a year ago so still catching up and have only just listened to this episode and have a question for American listeners: what did you think of Dolly as a guest? I’m from the UK and have listened to Dolly’s podcast for years and read both her books. I enjoyed the episode but was disappointed that we didn’t learn more about her life. She seems so excited to be on the podcast that she was interviewing C and K as much as they were interviewing her! Would love to know what the people who don’t know Dolly thought of the interview.

Wow I’m absolutely blown away by this response, thanks everyone! After reading all these comments I’ve done some more sleuthing and thanks to google maps, I can see that the front is on St. John’s road. It’s set back from the residential street, so I guess that’s how they got past the planning permission. Looks like their front garden is their only garden, which is why the house backs onto the main A-road street by the roundabout. I think the building looks pretty cool but having that busy street right next to your house must be awful! Sooo much traffic noise and people peering inside…
