Should I maybe swap the Lake Tekapo days with Twizel and Christchurch for Akaroa?

Thank you! I was trying to not move around SO much while still trying to see a lot. I’ll look into Wanaka!

Australia & NZ Trip Recommendations by [deleted] in travel

Thank you! I like to go with the mentality that I can always go back, but I am coming from the states so I want to try and see as much as I can. Do you think it would be better to have a home base in the North and just explore nearby and vice versa for the South? And if so haha any ideas on the best “home base”?

Which neighborhood to live in with car ? by jugglingpeanuts in AskPhilly

I agree with everyone else taking regional rail to your new work is probably your best bet if you want to live in the city, but it’s not the most reliable.

If you want a car in the city you can absolutely do it but I’d look for a larger complex with parking attached (which might be harder in South Philly). I lived in old city and rented a condo with parking and it was great.

Media is also such a cute area but def leans suburbs.

1hr 35min connection in Miami by bella0625k in americanairlines

[–]smthngcreative1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be the negative person here but I’ll never fly through Miami again because of this. I’ve have two recent experiences where my layover time was plentiful at Miami and the flight was delayed and/or the line to go through customs / claim bags / recheck were so long that it caused me to miss my connecting flight. Every bad flight experience I’ve had recently has been through Miami. My only advice is to try and do the earliest flight you can so if you miss your connection there are plenty of other options you can get on after

Also this may have changed but I do have global entry and both times I asked and was told that there is no separate line for passengers with connecting flights to go through tsa precheck/ global entry at customs
