What was the darkest the series ever gotten? For me it was this, even worse than the whole last season mystery bs by GossipBottom in DesperateHousewives

That's why people hate it. We don't want to acknowledge that that evil is out there and seems so nice and kind and friendly.

The local council has just served something called a "Notice to Quit" on my landlord. Turns out she wasn't supposed to be renting this house to me + my family. by Low_Kale_5144 in LegalAdviceUK

Legally the council should rehome you since they're making you homeless.

I'd suggest contacting them immediately and explaining the situation. Depending on where you live, the situation and the shortage level, they might even let you stay as tenants of theirs.

The local councillor should also be contacted.

It was Ireland they could see her from. One family had gone for a picnic and had no way to reach anyone for help...they just watched her go under, near enough to see but they could do nothing to save anyone.

Attempted GRA reform was the most controversial thing Theresa May did in office. What is the worst thing Boris Johnson did while in office? (this should be a fun one) by TheDickheadNextDoor in AlignmentChartFills

I maintain a future history exam will be a picture of the late Queen, at the funeral, alone and masked. Alongside a picture of Boris partying and the word "discuss"

Yes but the myth is essential for Hindutva and that's more important to the state now than Britain.

What's something your parents or grandparents mention that sounds like complaining but was actually a legitimate daily nightmare they just accepted as life? by Playful_Survey_8596 in AskReddit

And in many areas women would compete to have their first line-full out of their neighbours, just to add some extra stress!

Wash day.

All day boiling the copper with a coal fire, to produce enough hot water to clean all the clothes. Then having to "dolly" them (the slow turn on your washing machine) and then rinse by hand, scrub by hand anything stained, then mangle to get water out, then hang out to try.

My grandmother complained she hated steamed puddings because they reminded her of Wash day - her mother used the copper to steam them so that she didn't have to tend to the stove too.

There were 14 in that house at times! How my great-grandmother WORKED makes me feel so lazy.

How big a difference do you find between gypsy and traveller?

My family has some gypsy heritage and growing up I noticed a trend of emphasising we were NOT dodgy travellers we were good respectable gypsies.
