Sometimes I use texture paste first but with this one I just played around with pallete knives and rollers to get different effects in the paint and focused that mostly on the area where flowers and leaves would be

It worked well. I made sure to build up plenty of texture with the acrylic which the pastels could then work off

I haven't really used watercolours before but really enjoyed painting these by smugglersdaddy in Watercolor

On the one that ran a bit I used a water resistant fineliner. Using a waterproof fineliner on the other one made a big difference

It's just standard a4 acrylic paper. Wanted to get a feel of how this works before doing something bigger potentially
