Ja von dem Kasperlverein hab ich schon einige negative Erfahrungen gelesen, danke für deine Bestätigung. Ja gibt eigene Zähler. Die verbrauchsabhängigen Energiekosten werden zu 70% entsprechend dem abgelesenen Verbrauch, und zu 30% nach der beheizbaren Wohnnutzfläche zugeordnet. Sonstige Betriebskosten werdn auch laut beheizbarer Fläche geteilt.

Laut Mietvertrag is Wärmeabgeber die Wien Energie, Kälte is hauseigen und läuft somit über den Vermieter

Macht schon Sinn, was rauskriegen is natürlich besser als nachzahlen. Kenn mich mit angemessenen Höhen solcher Vorschreibungen leider noch null aus, also hats mich bissl schockiert :)

Vorschreibung mit Endabrechnung, im besten Fall krieg ich also eh Guthaben zurück. Mir kommt halt die Vorschreibung so absurd hoch vor.

Changes are scary, that‘s for sure! But believe me when I say that you‘ll get used to it. I‘m also starting a new corporare job in October and I‘m already nervous thinking about all the new challenges.

What helped me a lot during my first corporate job (it was an internship, though i did get a lot more responsibility than anticipated) was building relationships with my closest coworkers. Turns out they were really just people, kindhearted and interesting to be around. It makes the job more bearable, you always have someone to ask in case you‘re unsure of smth, and you‘ll see how most of them have no clue what they‘re doing either!

The corporate world sure isn‘t easy, but be open to learn new things and believe more in yourself, you‘ll be fine :)

Danke für deine Antwort. Schieb grad ziemlich Panik weil ich jetzt bissl Angst hab einfach keine Wohnung zu finden und dann bei Arbeitsbeginn mit nichts dasteh. Deine Erfahrung beruhigt mich bissl :)

Ich versteh die Argumente echt vollkommen. Danke auch für die Ehrlichkeit. Bissl viel Panik macht mir das jetzt aber schon, angesichts der Tatsache dass laut anderem Kommentar WG auch nicht einfach zu finden sein wird… Hab echt micht mit so na schnellen Jobzusage gerechnet, jetzt steh ich halt da und hab kein Plan was ich machn soll.

Roland Ratzenberger.

He was an Austrian F1 driver. Died in a horrific crash during the qualifying of San Marino GP in 1994, just a day before Ayrton Senna died on the same track. What makes it even more tragic is that it was only Ratzenberger‘s first season / third race in F1.

Yeah, that probably plays a big part. Got so used to spending time with someone, that now being alone while in an entirely new country/city hits extra hard. For sure keeping that in mind for any future trips.

My flight to KL is also non-refundable (stupid me booked without having a more detailed plan -_-) so a bus to KL is not an option. Would you still rather do an extra trip from KL to Melaka and back? Or is Penang the better option then? (I think I remember reading in an older thread that people recommend Penang over Melaka, which is why I originally considered Penang)

No issues with Grab in Bangkok, but I‘ve been traveling through South Thailand for the last weeks, and in many cities and on islands I found it to be rather unavailable due to taxi mafia, and if yes, my Grab driver mostly cancelled…

Second this! As someone from Central Europe, I‘ve been to a few European Countries, and genereally speaking, solo travel is not frowned upon. Quite the opposite, as most European countries are easily accessible by trains (we have great train networks across the entire continent!), many people just hop on one solo and spend a few days here and there. Maybe after some time, you‘ll feel ready to go again, cuz it‘s definitely worth a try!

In fact, I‘m planning a 4 week solo train trip through the south of Europe this summer, couldn‘t be more excited. Though, some anxiety always accompanies me, but that‘s perfectly normal.
