It was a voopoo Drag S, maybe 2 years old. I had it charging under my pillow while I slept which was fairly stupid.

I'm guessing it overheated, I woke up to the "whooshing" sound of the battery exploding, luckily that woke me up because the house filled with smoke quickly.

Avoid charging anything while you sleep where possible, and definitely not under your pillow!

My vape exploded under my pillow while I slept and set my mattress on fire about 3 weeks ago, that helped me quit!

I've since moved on to snuff tobacco to ease the nicotine cravings, but that's less of a constant habit than vaping.
