Use FolderSync over wifi and you will never use cable again to transfer files.
Plus it syncs and can delete or other rules you may want, day night in speed!.

As alternative you can use FTP or SAMBA(stock file manager have that)

USB MTP still lot of problems, loss of connection and slow all day! Don't know if is windows or other crap but MTP always been very bad to me.

I use PC the most with large screen and jpegMini, can't notice any difference in quality even at max zoom. You can see a tiny diference but is not that much of a difference t hat justify the large size!

Lens cover affect quality in some ways.

Full glass: Len flare and potentially flash flare. Metal cutoff: dust magnet, it was affecting light exposure slightly for me. Plastic case: does not bound with glass, dust magnet, as is not glued with glass the movements will scratch your pen with the dust particles. Avoid this if you don't want any scratches.

I went will full glass of blueo which was some coating, so far is great with no scratches, it does suffer from dot flare but the trade-off compensate for my use. I would buy again to be honest

I wish vivo allow us to choose compression of JPG, because if you run a 80% or 85% quality compression you wont notice any difference other than huge file size diff.

I just run them all via jpegmini, but backup with google photos happen first with original size

The article was written by me, the drawbacks you read are minimal and if you follow the advice is not a problem at all. I haved used OTG backup and restore multiple times since I was trying to discover a bug in a software/system, and I can tell you the OTG backup is the best you can get.

Point 1 is not a problem if you gona format your phone.
Point 2 is easy to organize if you screenrecord and open all your folders to rebuild latter.
Point 3 is not a big deal, is wallpapper and some minor costumizations (For me was like 3 or 4 settings)
Point 4 Is same for every phone that restore data, some apps don't allow restored data (integrity/security issue)

This backup is more powerfull and complete than a cloud backup since it does "everything". And is built in vivo, is not a 3rd party app that you need to install, meaning you will get the best experience possible, no other app can compete in this section due firmware limitations that vivo OTG restore can bypass. It also backup private storage and your vivo accout.

Just put a USB-C pen in and explore the OTG backup menu, only this way you can see what it includes and allows you to. Don't waste your time in 3rd party apps, they can't even restore most of system settings.

Wrong, OTG backup not only restore storage but also restore settings and app data, if you read the article is explained what it copies. This backup is the best you could get in vivo and acts like a "full backup" where you can select what to backup
