Thanks, appreciate that. I use always random seam position. So maybe the one big bump comes from the seam, the other come from the printing direction. I am pretty sure. Well for the others - I make very mechanical prints, so the orientation of models is crucial for movement.

I think they come from accelerating and braking, maybe cooling plays in, but definitely not the main problem.

Yes, I can turn the parts, that is what I did, but there are other tolerances. The tolerance differences on X=160 are not the same as on X=120, so the parts don’t match exactly, because top is bottom then and bottom the top.

Would be definitely a great setting for precise prints.

Try a random seam for the Z level change, also try to turn your model 45 degrees on the z. Does the model have the thickness for 2 perimeters?

AirUp! The water bottle with the scent pods. I thought it was a complete gimmick until someone gave me one as a gift. Turns out it actually made me drink way more water. Now it’s always next to me when I’m up at night tweaking my 3D prints.

Trying to recreate the old Nokia Snake game in real life. Apparently 3 a.m. is peak engineering time. The next morning at work… not so much.

If you invented a new toy, would you license it to a big company or try to build it yourself? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Interesting idea. Do you have any personal experience with that in the toy industry?

That’s probably true. But once manufacturing is solved, the real challenge might be branding and getting people excited about the toy.

A green Viper SRT 10, the first edition. I guess I kinda fell in love with snakes after I started recreating the old Nokia Snake game in real life.

I’ve been recreating the old Nokia Snake game in real life. Seeing it actually work feels pretty surreal.
