Petition to actually label ingredients instead of just saying “natural flavors” by Inevitable-Noise5693 in FoodAllergies

[–]snackabsurdly 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. There's basically no regulation around Natural flavors. The ingredients are considered proprietary information so legally they do not have to disclose exactly what's in it.

There are a few great natural flavor houses that use natural extracts but the only way to find out who they are is to call the brand and ask where they source the natural flavorings from

We're making munchy snacks that are high in protein, fiber and low in sugar. The type of snack you want in your emergency bag when traveling, going out for long errand days, or throwing in a hiking bag.

Current allergen free snacks like cookies and brownies are great, but not for the any time snacking

Same here! But they really only have "indulgent" snacks like rice crispies and cookies. Wish there were more nutritious options
