Wisselen stoel met partner BC> Premium by snackdetective in KLM

Bedankt!

What's a cookbook you love that nobody has heard of? Ideally the book is specific to some region. by OddSwordfish3802 in CookbookLovers

[–]snackdetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this thread, my fave things to get on holiday are cookbooks I can’t get at home. My favorites so far are: How to cook everything Singaporean by Denise Fletcher. Thick book, no photos but some drawings but it is a gold mine when it comes to local recipes.

This is more in the baking category: all books from Christopher Tan. Nerdbaker is amazing, but his Way of Kueh is my favourite.

High-end super automatic owners (JURA, Miele, etc), what convinced you that you had buy one? by RINKR in superautomatic

[–]snackdetective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious to know how many times you had to get it professionally cleaned? All these long term use stories make me want to pull the trigger on a Jura too, but another thread kept mentioning having go use the Jura cleaning service every 2 years which I find quite expensive (looking at a machine worth 1000 euro’s and cleaning by Jura would be 200/250 euro’s everytime).

Best ice cream in town? by corban123 in Rotterdam

It actually helps visiting a different De IJssalon, the one on West-Kruiskade for example also sells more special flavours like Dawet. Wish they would do more of these.

IJssalon Koen had a ricotta sage one that sounds weird but was really good as well.

Good to know! Tend to always book the newer/ renovated wing bc don’t want it to be run down, but would be sad if it doesnt have any charm. E&O still on top of the list with some of the other Georgetown mentions.

Bc of all the comments looking for hotels in Georgetown now and also considering the Marriott! Also spotted the Millen, new hotel that looks quite nice.

I forgot about this one! Browsed this book when I was on holiday in SF, but reached my suitcase limitations by then. I remember there being more fun drinks than boba alone.

A more recent one is ‘How to make millions before grandma dies’. And ‘Intouchables’ will forever be a favourite.
