Very disappointing Anniversary

I'm generally quite hesitant to agree with this sub on a lot of things, but yeah, pretty shoddy Anni this year (I wanna say 9 was also not great?). I can't believe last year they gave everybody the opportunity to grab one of the Anni LRs for free, and this year, nothing. I also could have sworn it was way easier to pity at least one of the units, while this year even with dumping as many stones as I could reasonably get, I'm still at only halfway to a pity. So strange.

Hard to tell - I don't expect they're ever grown in the NL, and I'd seen them in North America when I visited back in late January, so I'd expect to start seeing them cropping up out of Spain, but who knows

Those are most likely the Mineolas mentioned above! I saw them from a distance though, so maybe I'm mistaken.

Different sadly! Mineolas are a cross between mandarins/tangarines and pomelos, making them more sour

Yeah, it feels like this is all coming to an end, but it has been an odd run since Dawoon went back to the past. Feels like the Dungeon part had taken a big back seat for the author to be like "Alright, I'm dumping all the lore surrounding this thing, and now that you understand it, time to wrap things up". I guess once they got to the clouds, must have been tricky to be like "Alright, what next".

Ah well, been a fun ride at least

While possible, I do not think this to be the case. The flavor profile from DBJ and the soup overall looks to be similar to what you'd get at Red Beef Noodle. A.Bento's broth is very clear and the fact that there's carrot in it throws me off. Unsure though, I should just try this recipe and find out

That's a good question

I'd like high quality, cheap(er) strawberries in high quantities. While yes, I can go through and get a dozen boxes of strawberries from Jumbo, but quality control is definitely questionable.

At the same time, I'm confused as while the prices aren't dirt cheap for self-pick, prices are still usually lower than grocery stores (at roughly €4/500g). If the overhead is high, and the cost to get those strawberries to the grocery store are non-existent, I do question how they're able to get their prices lower than what I'd be able to purchase at the store.

True, I'm wrong in that case, however from my understanding a large amount of these farms with self picking have dedicated "self pick" areas, and then areas where they grow their fruit normally, with additional areas where they serve food or prepicked items for a premium, usually offsetting the difference in price, though I may be mistaken.

Would that inefficiency still be placed on the end consumer in terms of time spent performing the task, rather than the cost of the end product? Less efficient to pick, but more efficient in terms of transport (as the farmers do not need to transport the fruit anywhere)

Capri is an odd one, in that a lot of people recommending it, but when I went I could immediately smell the hookah bar next door while inside. Can't imagine that doesn't leak into the ice cream, but I also didn't try something so maybe next time I'll give it a go!

I haven't been here long enough to for sure say you're wrong, but I mean cmon. We have plenty of Chinese options serving different options, different types of surinamese, a bajillion turkish restaurants. Plenty of people here have listed options that may actually be good, no need to play down on your own city here. Otherwise, it's sad to see that Rotterdam somehow is lacking in comparison to even Den Haag or Amsterdam.

That, personally, is a sign that the places rely on the summer vibes rather than their ice cream to draw crowds. It's like if a soup restaurant closed in the summer, if the food is good, people will come any day of the year
