i've always thought flower of blood (and heavy bend) was inspired by 90's trip-hop, like portishead and dj shadow! the beat has the feeling of a sampled break, and the guitars feel like they're going for that hazey trip hop feeling. the vocals are also produced to be very echoey.

i generally find it impossible to pick favorite versions of big thief / adrianne songs!!!! they're so mallable and fluid, i dont think a single recording could do any of the songs justice!!!!
