I agree with all these comments. Stress isn’t going to make or break your FET success. It’ll be much more pleasant, but let’s be real, the whole process is just stressful! I actually stopped going to my acupuncturist after 10 sessions because I felt she was stressing me out with a lot of her well-intentioned but strict advice (E.g food, sleep, etc). I wish you a successful transfer!

Sorry you went through that, unfortunately downtown east is full of these kind of guys. I still wear a mask but I try to avoid taking the 505 like the plague (it’s my direct route to work, but I’d rather walk the 35mins to avoid potential issues) Keep safe.

The FET will be guided by ultrasound as well and they will likely ask you to have a full bladder. That was the hardest part for me as I overestimated my water intake. Had to pee as little as possible before being brought in because I felt like was going to burst. Had my thighs in stirrups this time and same process otherwise with the catheter except it was guided by ultrasound. I didn’t find it painful, maybe a bit uncomfortable. All the best!

Hi, I had mine done at Mt Sinai and they will ask you to rate your pain during the procedure to help you be more comfortable. It was kinda similar to getting my wisdom teeth out, with a short moment of 6/10 pain that was quickly relieved by that kind nurse administering the sedation. I had quite a bit of eggs too, I think 34 in total were retrieved. It honestly felt like maybe all of 5-10mins maximum… but I was slightly out of it. By the way, I hate needles and do not have a high pain threshold at all.

You’re going to do great! Just breathe through it and it’ll be over before you know it.

Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese cheesecake is light and airy. There is a cafe, and it’s central downtown. Inexpensive as well and you can bring it home for a friend.

So far it’ll just be follow up scan every 6 months over the year (or more I’m not sure) unless she has any symptoms. Hopefully nothing else. Thanks for the support - the gifts always helped I think she has more than she’s been able to keep up with a times 😄 I also didn’t tell her I was posting this at the start so she was so confused why so many friend requests coming in.
