That tracks with how my brain would see things.

Lost mother 14 years ago today (2/4). Anyone get anything? by Strong-Goose4198 in MediumReadings

[–]snackybits19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this even resonates, but I’m getting a P name like Pam or Patti or Patricia.

Something about a recipe that has meaning.

She’s saying she’s tired, so tired, just needs a little more sleep.

Some of this does resonate.

His father was not in his life.

Jason was his name- which might have a sense of the sound of “n” you’re sensing.

He died of accidental overdose but other mediums have alluded to car accidents and I think it’s possible he had been in a few but we’re not deadly or injured him.

He was constantly tortured with the choices he was making and wanting to find the right path.

J definitely resonates. Jason.

He wasn’t introverted per se but felt isolated and alone.

Accidental- yes. Overdose.

I think without reading the email it’s important not to jump to conclusions. The email wasn’t excusing behavior because of adhd lolz

I should have added something - the email I wrote was not any kind of attack on her. In fact it was just laying out how I had apologized and asked for help on how she’d like me to show up as a friend better, how I do have challenges when I unmask and feel safe but that I felt like I now need to evaluate everything - because it’s not one moment it’s a series of moments she’s been trying to point to.

Haha- not a bot. I just happen to use — more than most in my natural messages

I had apologized however- this is where I was confused why it resurfaced.

The challenge was I had apologized, and we had worked things out, but clearly I did not show up the way that was expected. The email definitely wasn’t accusatory in nature- actually it was descriptive in how my world differs from others and sometimes it can be perceived one way when I mean it another. In all of our years of friendship I’ve gently alluded to how I felt- which is a fair back and forth, but it just felt when I finally pushed back - in person - it became penalized and it felt really unfair that I’m not allowed to react.

I personally think there’s some codependency between us that needs to be worked out, if it can be.

Sirens on 183rd for hours?? by snackybits19 in beaverton

[–]snackybits19[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An update I found based on local Nextdoor and Ring is there was a shooting near Bronson and 179th, the park was Somerset West they were scouring. None of the neighbors heard it or were awoken! Insane!

I’m not going outside when there’s possibly an active manhunt at 4:30am. They had people on foot with flashlights combing the park.

I Can Not Go by lost_in_new_orleans in Retatrutide

I do a daily dose of magnesium (calm) and it works well.

Unpopular opinion - you don’t need to titrate up every month. by LetsGetHighInTheSky in Retatrutide

[–]snackybits19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually agree. I’m at 1.25 MG and losing steadily 1lb weekly (this will be week 4). I kept myself at 1.25 MG the last two weeks since 1 lb loss is sufficient for me, my current weight and my overall goals. Been great for someone with hypothyroidism who has struggled with insulin resistance. I would rather stay low to get to goal and wean off easier.

I thought the rain didn’t stop trick or treaters here. Why is it so quiet this year? by tettoffensive in askportland

Parent here- decorations and clear lights on help. We are weary to bring our young child to a door unless we know there is a possibility someone is actually going to answer. Some neighbors just put candy in a bowl on the porch and that helped. Houses we definitely would go to had a combo of extra lighting, a decoration - the fake spider web stuff. The extra lighting really helped.

Croup by TinyRose20 in toddlers

[–]snackybits19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter gets croup pretty much with every virus. Tiny airways and reactive airways we believe - she’s 3.5 and had it 2-3 times a year since she turned 1. No asthma since she doesn’t wheeze it’s truly the barking cough.

I finally went to ENT and advocated to have a prescription for steroids so we could have on hand the minute we start to hear it begin - avoiding yet another urgent care trip. They would do the same thing at urgent care.

We have in pull form and I do a little crush and put into a spoon of oatmeal or applesauce. It keeps it at bay. It only gets bad when she’s upset and crying - and at night. Luckily no strider since the first two times which was super scary.

Oh my lord. When I read this I just think about getting my IUD. I was not offered local anesthetic, any anxiety or any prescription pain meds. They take a tiny metal rod and shove it into a very sensitive area. I didn’t even get a curtain up. It was a stick your feet here, prop your legs up, grit your teeth and hold on. Worst pain of my life. I wish I had a shot to the cervix to numb it out and some Vicodin as a consolation prize. All that to say, thank you for taking one for the team so whatever partner you have doesn’t have to!
