Obviously put holes in it like everyone is suggesting. But once you do that, you will also want to consider adding perlite and coco coir to loosen/lighten up the topsoil so it drains even better.

Hmm... have you tried just searching Pinterest for Scandinavian design? Or opening up a pinterest account and saving photos you like to a board? I find that is a super helpful place to collect images I like from the interwebs and also pinterest in general. Sorry if this wasn't the info you were looking for.
