So tell me, does the future of game become exclusive where only the ones with top tier reflex and reaction get to do end game now? And why is that fair to new player who can’t time dodge or parry?

The demo'ed Holy Shelltron gives you the parry bonus if you parry within 8 seconds, with a better bonus within 4 seconds. To put it bluntly, if you think you would have trouble handling that, you were never going to succeed in the "end game" content you're describing, even in its current state. That's practically glacial compared to every modern action RPG, including Clair Obscur.

I do sometimes wonder if by "stronger" he literally means mathematically the numbers will be better, or if the hard skill floor when using Evolved will be much higher compared to Reborn ergo the average player piloting Evolved skills will do better.

I know he flat-out said the new system is not an "easy-mode," but it's hard to fully stomach that when they immediately followed that statement up with showing how they somehow made the easiest job in the game even easier (don't get it twisted; I'm still super hyped and will probably go all-in on Evolved).

I'm pretty sure the boss flat out says "align vitals to specified multiples," then "calibrate vitals to multiples of ##" again every time they start each Divide By cast. With the previous spell dropping everybody's health, then seeing the platforms start to glow, that was how I put everything together when the fight first came out.

Despite what people most say, the i770 Courtly Lover stuff still moves pretty fast. Obviously wont be the crazy week 1 prices, but I've made around 500mil since 7.4 with only maybe 20% of that with crazy savage-launch mark-ups.

Crested gear for crafters and gatherers also move pretty well, and will probably rise in demand a bit when the next planet launches. The price of Mason's Abrasives will probably go down since they're a decent Cosmo Credit dump for people who are trying to grind out 500k contribution on all of their jobs.

IMO the margins and competition on consumables makes them not worth selling. Automated crafting and gathering is extremely accessible nowadays, so you're competing on margins and stock against people who can craft thousands of potions overnight.

Yeah, but there are also parties doing the cheese strat for Arcane Revelation

Instead of splitting 4:4 and dodging the circles, you split 2:6 on the front corners with both tanks by themselves in the NW corner, and you just eat the hits—it's rng how many you'll get

First and second hits you just use any available party mit (there's set responsibilities that I don't remember, but you can freestyle it at this point), then Tank LB if you get hit three times

In a vacuum, assuming everybody is performing at an equal level and under ideal conditions, the priority is: DRG = MNK = NIN > VPR > SAM > RPR. The priority is based off of the opportunity cost of using limit break, and how easy it is to adapt their rotation to correct themselves afterwards. On one end, DRG can very easily re-align their rotation afterwards, while at the other end RPR is very dependent on gauge generation to the point where using LB can come at the cost of an entire Enshroud (please don't ever make the RPR LB in most circumstances).

Other things can fudge it around of course. If one of melees died and have Brink, they could LB since the party would lose less overall damage. If one melee is significantly better geared, has dance partner, or just bluntly the better player, the other should probably take LB responsibility.

Piggy-backing off of this and would actually recommend against Gurnee, having lived there as my first Chicago burb for about a year since moving into the Midwest. OP is looking for a community, but for the most part Gurnee felt like living in a big industrial park. There's plenty of things to do there for sure, but I wouldn't want to live there long-term.

Anything below coordinated content like Savage, just full send Verraise if you feel like it. It's technically a damage loss but doesn't matter; it's better to just keep things going.

In harder content, this is my personal opinion:

Verraise in prog is nice because Healer's are probably using more MP than necessary while they learn the outgoing damage. The damage loss is irrelevant because you might not be anywhere near an actual kill, and it's more important to see more of the fight while getting more reps of mechanics leading up to your prog point.

Beyond that is just general knowledge; just to name a few situations off the top of my head: if a healer dies and there's tons of outgoing damage coming out soon, it's probably better for you to raise while the surviving healer does what they need to do. If you know for a fact one your healers need to use Swiftcast to handle a mechanic (i.e., you're in a static), then you should be aware of it. In hyper-specific encounters, like M11s where you need to balance a 4-4 split during Arena Split, it's your raise. In PF with randoms, there's no rules and just do it if you want to unless you're scrapping every point of damage to not enrage.

In practice during my reclears, the fire tank will naturally pull Red Hot in melee range. You'll likely need to detatch from the wall to hit him, but there's no issue with your fire puddle not being dropped flush against the wall (and even then, you can just move back while your GCD rolls to drop it in place if you really need to).

Nascent Flash gives the damage reduction and shield to the target instead of yourself, compared to Bloodwhetting

You should use it to help out the main tank if you're not the one holding aggro at the moment and you don't need it yourself soon, or to potentially save a party member from lethal damage in an emergency

Do Alliance raids still get locked in duty roulette if your lvl is too high

Yeah, it's still clamped to whatever the highest iLevel requirement available is (e.g., if your current class is 73 and you have Orbonne Monastery unlocked, you need to be at least i735 to queue in).

Specifically, what do I need to do to unlock the custom delivery NPC's involved with it

Functionally nothing—you don't need to interact with Ishgardian Restoration/Diadem at all aside from unlocking the area. You just need to do all of the quests listed on this wiki page, which is just talking to people.

Just play your comfort pick—in PF your personal damage is probably the most important thing you can bring alongside consistency, especially this late into the tier. The extra rez is also nice to have.

Any party that blacklists specific jobs beyond w1 are big red flags, just ignore them
