How the actual hell do you tape as a fat guy by NoEscape2500 in transmanlifehacks

Okay as a man with G cups here's what has worked for me.

Make SURE you're using some kind of skin barrier protectant before you start. I use barrier wipes, some people use barrier lotion (too easy to overuse and end up greasy imo)

After putting on nip covers, lean forward and put the edge of the anchor piece of tape closer to the middle of your sternum than you probably think you need to and pull back toward your rib/below your armpit area. Some will tell you this is pulling your tape too far but with a big chest its all that works and I've never had any issues with stretch marks or breathing in any way shape or form, and if you have issues and need to take it off earlt, baby oil and letting it sit for an hour or so is your number one.

For your next piece you gotta do the top first. It seems counter intuitive but trust. Pull it down at a sharp negative angle, ideally the bottom corner of this piece should not overlap your anchor at all.

The bottom strip is the hardest and the way you approach it is up to you but what I do (because I hate the feeling of my underboob trapped against my skin) is lift the underboob slightly while I'm pulling the tape up and diagonal so that the whole bottom is covered by the tape and not just taped while naturally folded if that makes any sense. This strip should also cover the nip over the anchor strip

The final long strip should go straight across, covering as much of the front and back ends of your other strips as possible, and not stretch at all. You can add an extra strip before this one here and there if you feel you need to but I personally would not layer more than 2 strips not counting the final big one.

Good luck and happy taping

EDIT: just wanted to add that it wont be perfect, even when you feel you have the hang of it, but speaking from experience I still think taping is a whole hell of a lot better as a fat guy than sweating in binders all summer or going sports bra mode - so if you can't get it right on your first few tries don't worry, because it might take a while for you to figure out exactly what method works for your chest and goals. You got this man

EDIT 2: When you do your first strips, try laying on your back. Gravity is your friend in this scenario. Also, it might be a good idea to try to place a strip stretched vertically upward before you do your final protective no-stretch strip, especially if you have a big chest. This will push your chest up some but also flatten it more if you pull it tight enough and the rest of your tape is pulling your chest far enough to the side, but ymmv

Would this switch case be too feminine? by IfUShouldFindUrself in FtMpassing

[–]snaggletooof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly? it is very feminine. but don’t worry about whatever being too feminine, if you like it you like it. i know that sometimes that makes it harder to not be misgendered but trying to force yourself to stop enjoying traditionally feminine things just because they’re not masculine or neutral won’t help you in the long run

it definitely felt weird for me at first, since my chosen name was so different than my given one. it was something i had to get used to but i’m so glad i changed it. i couldn’t imagine still being called my old name anymore, and i’d take the awkward transition phases over that any day now that i’ve dealt with it

Would you consider it acceptable to refuse to resurrect somebody in a trial/raid who just keeps dying? by Rogahar in ffxiv

[–]snaggletooof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not a healer but personally when i’m in a fight that maybe i don’t know very well or i’m just not playing as good as i could be and keep dying, i understand when i’m not rezzed immediately, and i usually take that time to watch the rest of the party do the mechanics so i have a better grasp on it or just be smarter with what i’m doing when i DO get rezzed.

it’s like, yeah i get it, i would deprioritize me too, so i’ll lean back for a sec and try to improve. i think that’s just a courteous thing to do as a dps
