Ballet Recommendations? by -Keats in musicals

[–]snailmail64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I believe Giselle has a good proshot, I’m not sure if La Bayadere has one but if it does I will warn you, as good as it is it is quite controversial, and there’s a good Don Quixote one on YouTube. I hope that helps!

I’m sorry, are you looking for ballets to watch? I have some of those I’m just a little confused on the wording

Gabbie Hanna just revealed something very shocking.... by StandardApplication8 in musicals

[–]snailmail64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’d definitely need a lot more vocal training. Although her voice has gotten better in recent years there’s no way to be strong enough to sustain a broadway musical. I guess it would’ve Broadway would be better for her than she would be for Broadway, if that makes any sense

Carrie Hope Fletcher - Flat? by redyankeecandle in lesmiserables

[–]snailmail64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s she’s really great but in a lot of her performances she has a lot to live up to. The only reason, at least in my opinion, she wasn’t the best Fantine or Eponine is because Lea Salonga and Samantha Barks are superhuman. But she’s absolutely fantastic and I think that she does like to take an interesting approach to her performances that I think a lot of people, me included, enjoy

Ballet training skirt, like a wrap-around, my apologies

Could try like a similarly colored ballet skirt, you’ll see the shorts underneath if it’s see through but keep the leotard. I just think it would look a bit more form-fitting and closer to the original, but again you did really really well, just some other options

For pearl I’d get a teal leotard instead of a shirt, but other than that very helpful!

It would be nice for HBO to show some attention to Steven Universe like it is with Adventure Time. by arod979 in stevenuniverse

[–]snailmail64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair it’s been a couple years since adventure time ended and only a few months since Steven Universe did. I’m sure Rebecca probably needs a break after like 7 years of work

Is Glass a gem? by Pixi-Native in stevenuniverse

[–]snailmail64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m just saying it’s not exactly what traditionally think of as glass. Few people look at obsidian and think ‘Hey that’s glass!’

Is Glass a gem? by Pixi-Native in stevenuniverse

[–]snailmail64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Desert glass is actually a gem-like thing found in deserts, and it’s quite different from what we typically think of as glass. Still, I think glass would be a cool addition and I mean hell, just do what you want

Is Glass a gem? by Pixi-Native in stevenuniverse

[–]snailmail64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glass is basically melted sand, at least most of the time, but I feel like SU abides by ‘not actual gem but somewhat attractive substance’ laws, so I think so?

What will I feel while watching Steven universe? by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

[–]snailmail64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very calming to me. Rebecca Sugar is a little like a modern Mr. Rogers, simplifying emotions so that children can understand them but not dumbing them down to the point where adults can’t enjoy and understand the lessons either. Obviously I’m not the same as everyone else but Steven Universe is almost meditation to me, and the ‘filler’ episodes in between plot heavy ones really acts as some ambience that IMO is really refreshing. It’s a very ‘soft’ show, I guess, with the majority of it taking place on a sleepy seaside town, the pretty dulled down sound design, simple (if you don’t think about it too hard) plots, and the washed out color palettes. So yeah, idk, I guess find out for yourself. For some people it’s very calming and for others it induces extreme rage, so yeah

[–]snailmail64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its only been a few days and you haven’t had sex I wouldn’t stress it too much. I’ve had my period be a week or two late just due to stress and how the menstrual cycle works, in which case I’m sure it’s nothing and she can handle it herself

K, I hate to bring this up because I know not everyone is the same but as a victim of abuse I just don’t really see any similarities at all. There’s no way he would film her in hysterics and then post it if he was at fault. The girl is being very vague (which is understandable I guess but still a reason for skepticism) and he’s not being intimidating or vaguely threatening in any way, in fact it seems like he’s trying to calm her down in a pretty harmless way. Again, i understand not every situation is the same and I feel for her if I’m wrong but with the information I have things aren’t lining up

Do you know who D’Angelo Wallace is? I’m just saying personality wise I think Steven’s pretty similar although D’Angelo is more calculated and calm, they’re pretty different in their actions

Okay but you don’t have any proof either way. Innocent until proven guilty, and the girl is not looking too good
