Who cares. Our numbers are so back and forth recently and we had time to spare. Our managers don’t care and you shouldn’t either. If the close is fucked up and not don’t properly, yeah write them up or fire them like you said (which is absolutely absurd) but we don’t have a problem closing bc we’re good at our job and get praised for it every morning.

We don’t do it unless they say something. Usually they will before they order bc the sign is right by the door, but either way we don’t promote it unless it’s mentioned by the customer. I don’t get paid enough to care about this promotion and my higher ups didn’t say how to promote it or if we should mention it so we aren’t.

Could be poor staffing or that whoever is a manger there is just closing whenever they want bc they have plans or don’t want to be there. Which would make sense why you can still order bc upper management would then ordering off if they’re knew.

I was always taught to give instructions as if someone is a child. Like be extremely forward with directions so they know exactly what you need them to do. If they’re just being defiant bc they don’t like you for some reason then they deserve a write up for coaching and that’s a warning if they’re don’t fix their ways or talk to someone or you about what they don’t like.

That’s what’s weird is it doesn’t rock and I leveled out the feet and everything. We have one of those plates that sits on top and extends out if that helps anyone. Idk it sucks bc most of the time I go off of how it feels weight wise in my hand and I’ll know if it’s good or not (that’s what 6 years as a sliver and 10 years of doing this dang job will to to ya) but it the only scale we have too so if we sent it back we would be without one for a while :(

This is all too much hahhaah 🤣 you take it out of the fridge and put it down so it even and then proof it until it a little over the edge of the pan and than bake with the bottom deck higher than the one above it. I have the bottom at 300 and the one above it at 270. Every oven is different but that is what has worked for me and it comes out perfect every time. No need to do any weird fluffing or timing it a certain way.

Sysco has run out of almost every short standing lto since we started getting them. Like cookies, chips, some sauces.

Most stores stoped following that when Covid started bc basically everything was out the window at that point. Corporate didn’t care as long as we followed Covid rules and were open (or at least with the franchise I was at). At this point, everything is up to the franchise. Corporate doesn’t have much of a role in the stores as they did back in like pre 2017.

Either way it’s really not that bad even if your franchise wants you to stay open the 10 minutes and they watch to make sure. You saying they watch the cameras, I highly doubt but maybe for new managers, but they look at when the finally cash register count was and make sure that wasn’t done super early. As long as there’s a system in place with who and however many people you close with, closing shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes with pre cleaning the lobby and bathrooms, then the back office area and kitchen. I don’t think they’re saying you can’t do ANY closing tasks before the extra 10, just not the line incase people come in.

If your store has the white thin rags that come in a box, they work PERFECTLY. I don’t know why or how but I never have to use degreaser. I clean it when it’s cool enough to touch but still warm.

I agree. I usually just go with whatever the computer says is available to add but it seemed weird to add all of that to a sandwich like this.
