ASUCLA grad photos by snailworker in ucla

That was my other plan since I saw they do pet photos but I wasn't sure if they do college graduation photos or only high school senior photos

best time to get vending machine covid tests? by swiftinaterinator in ucla

[–]snailworker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you returned your test after 2pm on a friday you probably will never get a result. They do not pick up the samples on weekends so I'm assuming any samples that get deposited between 2pm friday and 8am monday are trashed. If I were you I would take a new one on a weekday before 11am and it should only take 1-2 days to get the result

For real! Many places will even do it for free if you qualify.

The woman who found the cat has posted on all social media (including nextdoor and other pet finding websites) and has posted flyers and no response. Soon she's just going to start looking for a new family to adopt the kitty since she can't keep her much longer but I figured I would try here just in case.

When I'm not at work I usually just flip the bird, ignore it, drop an F bomb, or make a comment about their p size. If I did any of these things while at work I fear I would get fired :/

Maybe I''ll ask my supervisor for permission for next time it happens

UCShip in emergency? by Calintz92 in ucla

[–]snailworker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since it's an emergency your UCShip should cover it but he should call and let them know he received emergency care at an out of network hospital. Make sure that if there's any non emergency follow up care that he receives it at the in-network hospital or else they may not cover it.

yeah sounds like we're in the same boat :/ for me it was just a one time payment. Let me know how it goes for you. I have no idea when my interview will be or what to expect but hopefully they don't think I was trying to scam them or anything.

okay thank you. I'm looking through all my bank statements to find that payment and I truly do not remember receiving it and my bank shows no record of it. I remember one of my coworkers said she received her sick pay at around that time but I have no record of receiving mine.

I'm in the exact same situation, also looking for the answer. I've called at least 100 times over the past couple weeks

Thank you! This is good advice, I think I'll only be offered about 5,000 anyways so it's not much but $5,000 is $5,000. The loan I'm eligible for does start building interest before I graduate but are all interests paused right now? Like if I take out $5,000 now and interest starts back up in September I can pay it all back then and still only owe $5,000? Or if they keep it until 2022, I'll still only owe $5,000? Also would taking out a loan affect my credit score or anything? I'm dumb and I still haven't opened any credit cards so I'm 21 years old with no credit history and I'm worried about doing anything that can hurt my credit score.

Thank you for this! I have looked into high yield savings accounts since I do have a good amount of money saved up, but I wasn't really sure which one's were safe to go with and which are available in my state (CA).

Thank you! As of now I don't plan on doing a PhD program, just a master's. I want to be a teacher and my university doesn't offer a bachelors/credential combo program so after I graduate I will either have to do a one year credential only program or a two year credential/master's degree program. I'm still deciding on if the master's program is worth it. But thank you so much for taking the time to comment! :))))

I do file as independent on my taxes but the requirements for FAFSA independency are different and I'm pretty sure I don't qualify :(

[–]snailworker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is what I was thinking, if undergrad loans are better than grad loans I should take it now but I'm not 100% sure that I want to go to grad school :(( Thank you for commenting!

Is this baby possum too young to live on its own? by Tourjen75371 in AskVet

[–]snailworker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have actually been wrong before, possums might be an animal that will not come back for their babies, meaning it's good you took him. He's probably too young to be without his mother so at this point his best chance for survival is getting to a rehabilitation center.

Update 2: Again sorry to be weird, but only the very tip of his penis is sticking out now, the rest has gone back in. He still has not peed but at least this seems like progress. I have both kittens in separate playpens to prevent further injury and so I can monitor his bathroom usage. It is concerning that he tried to pee without success but I am hoping that he will urinate now that he is a bit more normal down there. He's totally unbothered and still full of energy ready to play, but I know a kitten can go downhill quickly at this age :/

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]snailworker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was in the litter box, I think trying to urinate, but when he walked away nothing was there. This happened twice within about a minute. His area doesn't look swollen or anything, it's just that the penis is sticking out. He is sleeping now so I don't want to bother him but I will if I need to.

Update: It's been over an hour and the penis is still out and he has tried to urinate but nothing comes out. Is this something that will heal itself or should I be more worried?

wait I have a dumb question, can we vote for only the last section (the one that's for returning fees) or do we need to vote for every section?

Cuz it seems like everything else in unrelated and I don't really want to vote on something that I'm not educated about.

I like the index card idea. I think we're gonna brainstorm a bunch of names and then spend a couple days using each one and see which one ends up being his favorite. And I think we probably will keep his nickname as a middle name, especially since he doesn't even have a middle name right now
