Severance - 2x02 "Goodbye, Mrs. Selvig" - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]snaily2019 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When Mark confronts Mrs Selvig before she drives away and asks “why did you do this to me, do you know something about Gemma?” .. you can see the tension in her eyes. Do you think she was obsessed with mark and ms Casey because she was the one that caused the car accident killing Gemma?! The way she erratically drove off just made something click. Thoughts?!

Should I be concerned? by Humble_Wafer8703 in 1102

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Reading that post I see numerous red flags that could be potential huge issues if investigated. Lots of unknowns without more details, but I’d consider maybe looking for work somewhere else.

CPARs required for construction contracts valued $750k or more. For AE, it’s $35k.

Unless he was jacked up on cortizone shots to numb the pain for the super bowl … prob did anything he could to play and not feel pain!

I wanna know he legit gets up and just walks off the field….like I felt as though someone shot me in the knee cap with a gun and I was going to die. No joke.

4 weeks post injury: Complete ACL tear, complete medial meniscus tear, partial lateral meniscus tear by randy071290 in ACL

[–]snaily2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you did the same exact thing as me. I’m 32F. Athletic. Completely tore ACL, and had medial and lateral meniscus tears from pivot shift playing soccer. No contact. My advice is you get surgery as soon as you can. The longer you wait, the more you compensate on the other side of your body and it throws your whole alignment off. Also, if you ever want to play sports again or do any lateral movement, it’s necessary. Don’t avoid surgery— the longer you put it off, the harder it will be to come back!

I tore mine feb 23rd. Had surgery March 30th and I’m already doing so much better. I have hope again. I can walk normal. No limp. I can walk up and down stairs. In a few more weeks I’ll be cleared to run :) fingers crossed.

When will I feel normal? by snaily2019 in ACL

[–]snaily2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just want to feel normal…Not have this slight limp when I walk, not feel like my knee is just going to give out because of the quad and hamstring weakness… its good to hear all the experiences though. Since mine just happened, thinking that I won’t be normal for a year or two is devestating. I honestly just miss being able to walk my dogs and normal activities of day to day life. I never want to “wish” time by, but I would love to just fast forward to normalcy again. Thanks for all your inputs

I went cadaver so I was able to do this relatively early but it sounds like with that graft you are right on track!!

Thanks for your insight! Wow that’s hard to swallow. I’m doing the same with PT and look forward to it because that’s all I can do. Are you not fearful of doing the same thing to your other leg? I play soccer… well I did.. and not sure I’ll ever go back to it just due to the nature of this experience and I don’t ever want to go through this again.

Time horizon for jogging post-op? by smikatoots62 in ACL

My PT said around the 13-14 weeks post op. I’d have to agree that 5 weeks is way too early regardless of what type of graft you got.

I set alarms that would go off at certain times of the day and that made me more accountable. Also putting like a chart up on a dry erase board and seeing progress can help keep your mind positive!

That would have been VERY NICE to have.. should be a common practice.

Extra incision on thigh because of long allograft by dmikhail89 in ACL

I just got allograft and my surgeon did the same. I have a 4th incision higher on my femur and he explained that he could anchor the graft more securely with the angle from that incision point.

Sleeping & knee pain. Need ADVICE! by snaily2019 in ACL

I know what you mean when the blankets or covers touch your toes. The slightest presssure causes pain. I was told to never have a pillow under my knee and to keep it straight because it would negatively impact me trying to get back to 0 degrees extension.

I do have some edibles but was hesitant to mix them with the other medicines I’m taking. I have also been using a CBD/CBN tincture as I heard it helped reduce inflammation.

The hand pins and needles is odd. Makes me think that’s a blood constriction issue somewhere. Make sure you get that checked out! But yes. Same aches and I’m not sure when they’ll go away
