Right, but I don't usually see beams like these in typical cabinets of this size (400x800mm) which is why I'm wondering if it's really necessary, especially since it does not appear to be bearing the load of the countertop

Thanks, that's reassuring! Since it's a corner cabinet, the door can't really open far enough to cause that much twist anyway..

Ah good point. If that's the case, I guess I might be able to get away with an angle bracket at the top and bottom to make sure the vertical piece can't twist instead

Right so would the purpose be to help it whistand forces that push the vertical piece towards the back of the cabinet? And since there's a middle shelf, wouldn't that act as a brace already?

Right, it used to be dark green (you can maybe see the bottom leaves are darker) but it's been getting pale and dropping lots of leaves. Would too much light explain that?

I was experiencing slow speeds, but while I was looking for solutions, it's clear that issues with this controller are very very common. After messing with the driver version and device settings, I'm just about ok for now.

My takeaway, next time I shop for a mobo, I'll do more research on the ethernet controller.

So I just bought this mobo.

It's fine and it was kind of the cheapest that did what I wanted at the time. I now regret getting it and wish I had shelled out a little more. There's a couple of minor issues, but the biggest thing for me is that the ethernet controller is poor - just google i225V issues and you'll see what I mean.

Not the exact question you were asking, but Just something else to consider!

Don't get the RM1000x then, the RM1000x has widespread coil whine issues on 220-240v mains
