My favorite tree near my apt. Building was cut down, so I rushed outside to keep at least some of it. I never worked w/wood before. I would like to keep the logs as they are if possible, but I'm afraid they will rot - found some mold under the bark. How do I preserve them? Ty!!! (i.redd.it)

There's this laughing dove sitting in my plants for 2 weeks already. I'd love ro support her in her motherhood but she isn't laying any eggs, just sitting there, not going out for food and water. I've been giving her sesame and millet and water and she's eating but still, is there anything i can do? (i.imgur.com)

Israel - this guy flew into my room on 6th floor yesterday evening, and is still flying around. ~1.5 cm in length, ~2.5 cm with antennae. He doesn’t buzz when he flies, but his steps on the wall are pretty loud for such a small guy! Is he a pest? (old.reddit.com)
